It is ok it is more so for head and neck. It is difficult to use on my lower back which is one of the reasons I wanted it. So I was kind of disappointed. It is great for head and shoulders.
Although I’d like to say this is a good massager, unfortunately we were not impressed. The idea behind it is very good but in reality, the massager balls (not sure what to call them ha) are WAY too big and don’t allow for a comfortable neck massage, whether that be sitting in a chair or sitting up straight against a wall. For myself, a female, it felt like it would dislocate my neck and spine. For my husband, it felt like he was required to lean forward while sitting up perfectly straight in order to have it massage. Also, it did not get very hot and requires to be plugged into the wall which is not very convenient. Overall, it truly lacks in functionality and didn’t help to relieve tension or stress.
This thing is amazing. I am trying to find a massage therapist, because a spinal condition I have causes me pain, which causes TONS of muscle knots. First time I tried this, it was like heaven. I was sore the next day from all the knots being worked out, much like I am after a 'real' massage. It's reduced my headaches, too, by reducing the tension in my neck!
This massager is Amazing! I have terminal cancer and it’s in my bones and I debated on buying this but it has helped me so much with the leg pain and neck pain I have. It feels wonderful I use it every night to get me comfortable to go to sleep!!! Definitely a 10
