Seeing that long-travel bikes are moving towards the slacker and longer end of the design spectrum, Renthal went back to the drawing board to redesign their legendary FatBar to better serve all-mountain, enduro, and gravity disciplines. The result is Renthal's re-engineered FatBar V2, which builds on the iconic performance and success of the first version with an 800-millimeter width and reduced weight through careful application of light, yet strong 7050 T6 aluminum alloy. Not only is it 20 millimeters wider than the previous FatBar for better control when you're riding on technical trails and downhill courses, but it weighs approximately 45 grams less, which is a pretty significant weight savings, considering it's still made of alloy and doesn't cost any more than the original bar. If it's a bit too wide for your tastes, you can always cut down the bar ends with width markers helping you get the job done. Additionally, Renthal now offers the FatBar V2 in a stealthy black colorway for riders who aren't a fan of their signature anodized gold.

Good looking bar, coating feels premium and hopefully durable. 40mm rise makes my Whyte far more comfortable on the shoulders. Not ridden with it much yet, but happy so far

As a big guy, my hands start to hurt and go numb from lack of core strength. I tried the pnw bars with 30mm rise first. The 40mm rise bars and 35mm stem completed my search for a comfortable cockpit. I've ridden 30 trail miles with these bars. No discomfort in my hands. I hope these work for you like they did for me. Plus they look so good on my bike.

Excellent bar. Great quality. Light. Strong. Used it for both of my boys bikes. Bought the 30mm rise to help the boys sit a little more upright and have less weight over the bars.
They look the part & match the fork stanchions enhancing the look of the bike. I like the colour and finish. A bit expensive though for a piece of aluminium but my son looks on in envy so worth the money. He's already messaging me with his next upgrade. Ahh the fun of one-upmanship.
These bars have completely changed how my Trek Roscoe 8 performs. I was hoping for just a noticeable difference, but got a big time difference. I always went with Renthal bars on my dirt bikes (back in the day). Im still a newbie to mountain biking and this small upgrade has given me a lot more confidence (which you need when your about to turn 55).
Three years on mine with no crashes warranting replacement for safety concerns. Feels great. Looks like da bomb. Comfy. Highly recommended. Renthal is a brand that I trust. Easier to make narrower with a bargain pipe-cutter.
Buy online without having a third party opinion! I was impressed that they met the delivery date! Now I have my 30 rise renthal fatbar handlebar! Amazed! And I also mention that it was much cheaper! 100% recommendable! Bikeinn a 7!
They simply work as intended. Highly accurate manufacturing along with excellent material specification, if you want aluminium bars as opposed to carbon fibre these should be a reference. Not only look good but their intended flex pattern and characteristics make a very high performance product at a low weight.
The product I wanted was available at a good price at Start Fitness and delivery was very fast. I wanted to increase the rise of my bars from 25mm to 40mm, but these bars also gave me an increase in width from 780mm to 800mm and altered bar geometry (reduced back sweep from 9 to 7 degrees). My initial impressions were that the ride felt really good with the new bars, both uphill and downhill. I felt I had a bit more control and breathing space when climbing, and when descending I found the bars put me naturally in a better position on the bike. Renthal Fatbar seemed to be the go to bar to try, and I haven't been disappointed.
