Picked this up during the Capcom sale recently for a few bucks and it was definitely worth it. The game may not be everyone's cup of tea because of the fixed camera angles, very limited inventory, zombies that are tough as nails or the save system using the ink ribbons, but I found it quite enjoyable. If you're an RE fan and haven't played this one yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up during nice sale, you won't regret it

The best horror game of all time. Incredible graphics for a gamecube game that its still comparable to today's standards, Capcom's stellar arcade-like game design with a lot of reasons of going back to play this game, amazing soundtrack, and a plot as silly as all the other RE games.

The game is amazing. Well, bear in mind that this is a game launched almost 20 years ago, so... the game has no great graphics, great mechanics and so on...But it's very good in what he sells. It's a old school survival horror, with good mechanics to this genre. The story is very good and it's a revival of the old style.I think it's very good if you are into this kind of game.

This was a wonderful set of games. Originally released on the GameCube the remaster was incredible. It helped breathe life into the series again with amazing visuals and a recapture of the magic and horror that made the series famous. The re-release on PS4 is a huge step up in quality. Backgrounds were redrawn and the new controls brings the game up to current day standards. I can't recommend this game enough. It's a great jumping off point if you have any interest in the series or horror games in general.
The remake is amazing!! Today’s amazing graphics trophies! I noticed Rebecca Chambers has eyeliner/mascara unlike how she had it on the GameCube version. Both games are on one disc. The reply value is a definite. The classic style is best in my opinion. Resident Evil 0 is with Rebecca Chambers Billy Coen. Resident Evil 1 is with Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Barry Burton.
Literally purchased this game in store, from the electronics department, out of the locked case and when I got home to wrap the item for my child, I found that the game card was stolen out of the case!!! Can’t review a game that I purchased for Christmas because it was never in there in the first place. So disappointed and it’s not like I can return it because I can’t prove that it wasn’t in there when I purchased it. Ugh. This is the second time this has happened. So disappointed.
I have these games on the Gamecube originally, so I know how they play and how good they are anyway - the graphics on that was good enough. But these have been enhanced for HD visual and are crisp rather than grainy on the gamecube on big HD tele's. I have downloaded the original resident evil remake on xbox 360 which was played through HDMI cable which was fantastic and crisp clear. I can only imagine that these two games are almost exactly the same quality if not better. I haven't actually opened this item yet but it came fully sealed from the manufacture which is what I was after. I haven't had time to sit down and play this game yet but for the price I couldn't ignore it, so it is there for me when I eventually do sit down and replay it on the playstation 4. ... MoreI have these games on the Gamecube originally, so I know how they play and how good they are anyway - the graphics on that was good enough. EPIC titles worthy of purchases of all platforms IMO.
This classic game is still an amazing game to play. The graphics have been updated to current HD standards giving it a cleaner, smoother look. The game itself is more challenging than most newer games being released today. If you haven't played this classic game then you're missing out. And as a bonus a prequel to the original game is included in this version. Fantastic gameplay & storyline. Overall I give this game package two thumbs up & five stars across the board.
A chance to play some classic Resident Evil the way it used to be with graphics that easily hold up today and haven't aged a bit. The slow pace, flick screen approach and resource managing works so well adding the tension around every corner and every room. These remastered versions give you the option of improving the control system which helps massively and recommended. These two games were originally released on the Game Cube and the Remake is certainly the definitive way to play the first game, improving so much in every way on the original (apart from the old live action scenes which were great on the PS1). Resident Evil 0 looks and feels like more of the same but with a few changes to how it plays with item management and co-op with a CPU character. I'd start with that before approaching 0.
The classic returns in beautiful hd quality. A definite upgrade that every Resident Evil fan deserves. This title is also great for newcomers that want to add more horror games to their collection. The controls feel even more responsive as does the camera angle, when it comes to combat and aiming. The sound effects and quality bring back so many memories when thinking of playing this title for the first time whether the PlayStation or Nintendo platforms. The difficulty level of the AI, I assure you, is challenging. The dialogue and cut scenes show just how was put into this remaster with smooth edges and synced detail. It is worth it to add this to your inventory for hours of fun, horrifying gameplay.
