I like the shorter cut compared to most women's jackets, and the pocket placement is nice compared to my old eclipse jacket. Biggest con is that the material is straight up plastic. There is zero flex, and it sounds like plastic with every movement. I would definitely pay a little more for at least a polyester blend rather than this stiff polyester. Also disappointing that it doesn't come with a spine protector. But for now, it's the best I found for this kind of cut and non-leather.

I started commuting on my motorcycle this year, but needed to get a summer jacket once the heat wave started. I picked this one partially from my husband having tried on the men's version and liking it and also because of reading so many good reviews and it being much more affordable than similar jackets. I'm 5'4", 125 lbs., 36" chest, and 33.5" waist, which put me in between sizes. I split the difference with a size 42 and it fits well. The sleeves are the right length for my arms and the torso section comes down to my hips. There's plenty of adjustments to tighten it up, but I find it flows air best when it's less snug, with just the zipper mostly up.Mostly I'm impressed with the level of ventilation. I've had to ride to work on days over 90 degrees F (32 C) and not once have I gotten too hot, and normally I'm sensitive to heat. The airflow still feels cool most of the time too. The coldest days I've worn this jacket were around 70 F (21 C) and I was almost cold. The D3O armor in the shoulders and elbows is somewhat noticeable when wearing the jacket off the bike, but I don't notice it while riding. It doesn't come with a back protector, which I was initially disappointed by, but it did give me the option to pick which back protector I wanted. For reference, I went with REV'IT's Seesoft Air back protector. I haven't noticed any decrease in airflow after installing it.In summary, I really love this jacket. It fits me nicely and flows a ton of air. I like having the protection of a moto jacket and armor without getting too hot, and without spending ridiculous money to do so.

I had had my eye on the Eclipse jacket for a long time and I finally pulled the trigger, and I am so happy with it! I am 5'3", 160 lbs, 38" chest, 42" hips, 31" waist. The size chart said to get a size 42, and this was perfect. On me, the fit is slim and flattering but not too tight; I still have room for a heavy fleece or nano-puffer jacket. The sleeve length is just right (which is very hard to find on moto gear when you're a short female), and the armor seems to stay in place. The one exception there is that the elbows are loose enough to allow a little bit of rotational play; there are upper arm adjustment straps but none around the elbows like I had on my old jacket. Not a dealbreaker, and less of an issue when wearing a layer underneath. Also, the collar / neck snap is quite snug; I probably won't close it unless it is really cold.I got the "burgundy" color, which is NOT RED, but actually a burnt orange / rust color as other reviewer photos show. I'm not sure why they don't label this color differently / embrace it, as it is very unique and really gorgeous for a women's motorcycle jacket. For the price, this is a really nice jacket and seems well made. It seems like it would survive a low-speed crash (hope I never find out!). The included elbow and shoulder armor is light and flexible and fits well in the pockets. I added a Dainese G1 back protector and it fits in the pocket perfectly. This is my 3rd piece of Revit gear (I also own the Tornado 3 pants and the Sand 3 gloves) and I have been consistently happy with their gear - they really know how to make women's specific gear and seem to fit better than the Euro-cut brands.I live in Southern CA and am trying to use this a 4 season jacket - will update review if I notice any issues in use.

Overall, I like this Revit mesh jacket. I have broad shoulders and hips. This brand fits more narrowly than others brands I've owned, so I had to size up a little more than usual. I would give 5 stars instead of 4 if it came with the back padding insert and the collar had a snap back feature. Other than that I'm pretty comfortable with this summer jacket.
I'm 5'9, 125 lbs, and a 38 was too small in the shoulders so I swapped it for a 40. 40 fits great, arms are *slightly* long if I'm being picky but everything else fits perfectly! Very comfortable jacket! The elbow armor felt weird to move with at first but after a few hours of wearing it riding, the pads have "broken in."I also added a back protector to both the size 38 when tried on, and the 40. Don't worry about the back protector making the jacket too small! Even the 38 which was already too small, with the back protector neither felt tighter or smaller than without.Very good jacket! Stays very cool on hot Florida days!
Weather was warming up in Texas and I purchased this for my wife. I lucked out and she really liked the fit of the jacket. I expect the silver color to keep her cooler the the old black mesh jacket she had. Also the armor in the elbows and shoulders is upgraded from her old jacket. We did get the back protector also. Jacket is very well made and we expect a long life out of it. Unfortunately the weather here has been over 100° daily, so the motorcycles have been parked mostly.
Just received my jacket after a blazing hot ride home from work in my non-vented BMW jacket which was made for the UK market (I was living in Ireland when I bought it) and so this summer jacket looked like it was exactly what I needed. I read a lot of reviews and decided to order a little large for myself because I have broad shoulders. I just put it on and I know it’s going to be a million times cooler than my current jacket, it fits me great in the shoulders and is a bit large in the body but I have room to put my light down jacket underneath or some kind of warm layer for my cold Mountain morning commute, which is great! And I can steal the waterproof liner from my BMW jacket and use it with this, so this is going to see me through the summer just fine! I ride lots of highway and lots of SW CO forest roads and mountain passes and I think this will work fine for either type of ride because there’s room to move.I am 5’7”, I usually wear a women’s medium on top (or a 10, or UK 12) and I ordered a 44 and I’m glad I didn’t go smaller, just for the room in the shoulders and the possibility of adding back protection without stuffing myself into it.And it’s STYLISH! I look like a woman! Which is more than I can say for most other jackets where I’m usually mistaken for a bloke until the armor comes off and then all becomes patently clear.... ha! Happy riding, ladies! x
The eclipse jacket is the perfect protective jacket for hot weather riding. So far I've been wearing it in temperatures ranging from 17 to 28 degrees Celsius (sometimes all in the same day) and have found it comfortable right across this range - even at the top end, when at a standstill, I didn't overheat or become sweaty as I have in the past with hoodies or my all-year textile jacket (vents open and lining removed). At the cooler end I didn't feel cold in when wearing just this jacket and a t-shirt either. I can't say how it stands up to rain because I haven't been caught out in it yet. The armour is good quality and the jacket feels sturdy even though it's mostly mesh. I'm a size 10 and found it true to size; fitted enough to look smart but also with a bit of room to put another layer underneath if needed. The silver is a very nice colour and helps to keep the jacket cool on hot days. It's worth noting that the jacket doesn't come with the back protector included, I would recommend buying this as well if it is within budget.
This is my first motorcycle jacket and I've been very happy with it. The fit is good, armor feels solid, airflow is nice, and there are many options to make small adjustments to customize the fit. While the main purpose is function, it also looks really nice. I don't feel like the Michelin man walking into restaurants or stores with it on. The backplate is sold separately, so just make sure to pick the right size. I have a long torso and the jacket doesn't go quite as low as I'd like, but it covers everything enough. Overall super happy with the purchase and would recommend!
Comfortable but everyone is right in mentioning how stiff the shoulders/upper chest are(which is funny for a woman's riding jacket, you def want to mobility there). I went one size up (got 46) and I'm not really big. I'm 5'1 but but shoulders and chest are key for me honestly. I like how adjustable it is with the waist, arms and wrist straps. It also has belt loops if you're worried about the torso being short(it is a bit when sitting or lifting arms but not a problem when riding). I'm not going to knock a star off because I was able to find a good size but it still had to be the largest size despite me being "small-medium", ? for taller/larger women I can see how this might not work greatEven small breezes feel good while standing still so it is absolutely ... MoreComfortable but everyone is right in mentioning how stiff the shoulders/upper chest are(which is funny for a woman's riding jacket, you def want to mobility there). I chose white/silver as well to minimize how much heat I'm trapping. I'm in Georgia USA so it does get quite hot(and humid).
