I was initially skeptical to try these balm stain pencils because, let's face it, a balm that has a staining effect? Yeah, right. Heard that before. But Revlon definitely know what they are doing because their Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are just that, they are lip balms that truly stain. These chubby lip pencils come in a twist up form – no need to sharpen. Just twist it up and apply. Talk about convenience. The cap does close pretty tightly so no need to worry it will fall off. I have to admit the first thing that sold me was the colorful packaging! And the better part? The color you see on the tube is the exact same color you will get once you apply on the lips. Unlike most lip stains, these do not dry out my lips at all. And the better part? The color you see on the tube is the exact same color you will get once you apply on the lips. Unlike most lip stains, these do not dry out my lips at all. The formula doesn't feel like a complete lip balm to me, but more like a combination of wax, gel, and balm. They glide on really smoothly on the lips without tugging. I detect a subtle minty scent upon application that disappears quickly. They are not sticky in any way, in fact, they are quite comfortable to wear and they do not settles into lip lines. The finish is definitely on the glossy/shiny side that lasts for a couple hours. As for the pigmentation, it is crazy! Especially for darker shades such as Lovesick and Sweetheart. One thing I notice too is that the colors do change (they get more saturated) a little bit after a few minutes of application, at least on my lips. I'm not sure if everyone else is experiencing the same thing. So for Lovesick and Sweetheart, I have to be extra careful by lightly applying a very thin coat, then wait a few minutes, let the color adjust, then build more layers until I get the desired intensity. I did not experience the color-changing issue with the lighter colors such as Charm, Precious, or Honey – these go on sheer but can be built up, and they remain true to their color.Onto the real test, the staining effect! On the arm swatches above, you can see that these balms do stain. And I mean, seriously stain. It took me 2 days to completely remove all trace of colors off my arm especially for Lovesick and Sweetheart.

Revlon Balm Stain? Total lifesaver! Seriously, it's like the love child of a lip balm and a lipstick, giving me that perfect combo of hydration and color. Plus, the stain lasts forever, even through my morning coffee ritual. And can we talk about the range of shades? Obsessed! It's become my purse essential for that effortless pop of color whenever, wherever.

The balm stain lip crayons from Revlon were so fantastic! I had multiple shades. I loved the hydrating comfortable feel. Pigmentation was sheer to medium. One of my favorite things was that these wore down to a lovely natural hue. Great for an occasion where you won't have the opportunity to go and fully reapply a lip product. So quick and convenient, but with great results. I think these have been discontinued, which is so sad! Definitely worth purchasing imo.

I was a huge fan of the and ever since they discontinued it I haven’t found anything else that compares when it comes to lip stains. So when this balm stain came out I snatched it right up and had to stop myself from buying every color because I was convinced I would end up loving it. Luckily for my wallet, but not for my makeup obsession, it didn’t turn out that way. While I definitely agree that they got it right in calling this a balm, because that’s what the consistency mostly resembles, I would not consider this a stain. For starters, there isn’t a ton of pigment when you apply it and I noticed that I got a different color payoff than what the formula actually looked like. I can’t say it was a huge difference but it was still enough for me to notice. For starters, there isn’t a ton of pigment when you apply it and I noticed that I got a different color payoff than what the formula actually looked like. I can’t say it was a huge difference but it was still enough for me to notice. After it wore off, which was pretty quickly considering it’s slick consistency and the fact that it transferred to everything and then some, there was no stain left behind which was really disappointing. After all, a stain is exactly what I’m looking for when using a product with that word in its name, right? For a while I was reaching for this when my lips felt dry and I wanted a little added color but that was only to feel like I got my money’s worth out of it rather than an actual attraction to the product itself. All in all I’d say this isn’t too bad if you’re looking for something to just give you a little more color and moisture, but if you’re looking for a stain like me there’s definitely other options out there.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick is celebrated for its creamy texture and moisturizing formula. Infused with vitamin E and avocado oil, it provides vibrant, long-lasting color with a smooth finish. Users love the extensive shade range and its affordable price. While some find it slightly transferable, its overall performance and comfort make it a popular choice

Highly Recommend
Its dual-purpose formula combines the hydrating benefits of a balm with the lasting power of a stain. The application is smooth and buildable, allowing me to achieve a natural tint or bold color payoff with ease. I love how it keeps my lips moisturized while delivering a beautiful, matte finish that lasts for hours. Whether for a casual day out or a special occasion, this balm stain has become an essential part of my makeup routine
I love this product. I have been using it for years. I strayed for a bit when the Lipsense craze hit, but I've decided these work better. Lipsense, for me, sometimes starts shredding and is suddenly gone at any point during the day. This lasts all day, every time. Wish revlon would bring these lip stain balms back. Moisturizing and long lasting color.
I don’t know why Revlon discontinued the full balm stain line just as tinted lip balms were gaining in popularity even among higher end brands. Please bring the full line back: mattes, lacquers, and originals. These are the best one-and-done lip stain/balm/blottable/matte color hybrid product ever. They wear well under masks and leave a stain behind without drying out lips. Please restore full line availability in stores as well as online. Most girls my age would love to wear lip colour, but not if it means having to constantly run to the bathroom for touchups, and what's the point of even putting it on in the first place if it just vanishes every time you eat or drink something? Your eye makeup doesn't do that. Those liquid lip stains out there have staying power, but they're horrible. They dry out your lips and the colour is too intense. I've only ever seen much older women wear solid colour on their lips. That look is so outdated. Young women today want something bright, but sheer and doesn't require a goopy applicator thingie - No Thanks. Anyway, most of us need some kind of lip balm anyway so why not shoot two birds with one stone? Also, the Balm Stains were just so much fun. They remind you of a big crayon and not an old lady lipstick. For a fourteen year old just starting to dip her toe into makeup, they were never intimidating and you weren't afraid to try bolder or darker colours. All of my friends are DEVASTATED that we can no longer stock up on these at the drugstore or Walmart.
