I am a lipstick addict. I admit it. I have almost 100 different lipsticks laying around my house, my car, my desk, etc. I have been looking for years for what I consider the "perfect" lipstick: won't let me "eat it" off immediately, doesn't bleed into the fine lines around my lips, doesn't dry out my lips, and has long-term staying power. After spending lots of money on lots of different brands (high-end, not drugstore) and lots of different types (liquid, satin, matte, stain, gloss, and even that stuff that your friend with the MLM sold to you), I have returned to this truth: this version of ColorStay is the best lipstick in my collection. Even as it fades, it doesn't flake off and make you look like an extra on "The Walking Dead."My ONE complaint is this: there isn't a good red in the collection--like a deep red. Still, it beats out every other lipstick out there because of its first-rate qualities mentioned above.

I love the Overtime Lipcolors! The shades are great, the formula stays put all day without being drying. However, I wish Revlon would get rid of the clear gloss. The clear gloss is a waste - I don't even use it. Just make it a long tube of the lipcolor instead. I'm a Light Neutral and Unstoppable Nude is a great everyday MLBB. Blush Hour is a pretty looking Plum color and Endless Spice is a pretty looking Berry. Bare Maximum is a pretty shimmery darker MLBB. Boundless Nude is a peachy pink nude that's somewhat flattering. Perennial Peach is too peachy on me, though. I'd love if Revlon released even more flattering colors for us Light Neutrals that need muted shades and can't have anything too warm, too cool, or too bright.

Lipstick is my JAM. I have tried every long-wear liquid lipstick on the market, from Kylie lip kits, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Huda Beauty, Kat Von D, you name it. I first tried Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor in "Endless Spice" (over Rimmel Lip Liner in "Spice") over 10 years ago and it continues to be my signature staple. Since that time I've recommended that combo to family, friends, & coworkers, finding that it unfailingly flatters every skin tone; looking more bold or nude depending which end of the Fitzpatrick scale we're on. I will never, ever stop buying those 2 products and whenever I can't find them in stores I say a little prayer they haven't been discontinued. There are NO suitable replacements! I can wear this when I'll be sweating at a hot yoga class or swimming at the beach and know with confidence it hasn't budged (Kylie & Anastasia both failed me in similar circumstances). A coworker once told me that she tried this product before dinner one evening and the next morning her son asked where she was going so early "because you have lipstick on!" My personal tricks: I apply the Revlon Colorstay in thin layers. I find that it lasts the longest this way (way over 16 hours). It applies very wet and remains flexible for a while, leaving you plenty of room to blend it in a little with whatever lip liner color you place it over. This is one of the best things about the product- as it can easily take on the color notes of the lip liners. It dries down to a natural matte finish that retains a very natural sheen (read: not dry looking). It comes with a clear gloss, but it can also be left alone, or topped with balms & other glosses. The lipstick removes beautifully with oil, but that also means it can slip when too much gloss or balm is applied- so just a few dabs is best. On this note, bare in mind your food choices (I was so accustomed to not needing to touch up my lips that I was startled to find it had rubbed off after a salad with olive oil!).

First off, I have a problem with lipstick--as in, I buy them all the time, looking for the perfect shade, perfect moisturizing, perfect stay-puttedness, and perfect non-feathering. As I've aged, the need for it to be non-feathering is more and more important. I've started having those fine lines around my lips that most lipsticks and lipliners just fill up. No matter how pretty the shade, if the lipstick bleeds, it looks awful.I've tried the premium brands. I've tried the cheap brands. I've tried everything in between. This is the most perfect of all of them. It stays on your lips for hours, but doesn't crack and flake. It doesn't bleed at all, and you can keep applying the gloss for more moisture.I have one issue with this: there's no perfect red. I've been using this product for 15 years and recently put a negative review on this website. I noticed a change in the formula a while back and it didn't last as long or have the same intensity as usual so I called Revlon and they said the formula was changed in 2019. I immediately thought this was the end of the product for me, until I started seeing current reviews that were very positive, so I bought another and tired it. It lasted and preformed like I remember, so I went back to the 2 I had that were bad. The tube was dated 2017 and 2018. I'm not sure if they were old and stopped working or Revlon changed back to the original formula in 2019. I didn't buy any lipstick during the pandemic so these sat in my drawer for over two years. Please Revlon, restructure and regroup , get out of Chapter 11 and keep producing wonderful products.I'm going to be stocking up on Relentless Raisin and Bare Maximum just in case
I love this lipstick I been buying it since it came out. I buy stay current but lately it been coming out like a different color. The wine color isn’t the same it’s kinda of dull not the color that first came out. Please change it back. I love the wine color but now it’s looks dull. I’m going to try the cherry one and hope it’s awesome. But would Ike staying with stay current please bring back the right color. Oh it use to last but some color just fade to fast before i had bo problem my friend told me it was a beautiful color which lipstick did i buy.
This has been my favorite go to lip color for years. I love the shade Bare Maximum. It's the perfect neutral shade that I can wear everyday. It stays on all day, I rarely use the gloss end. Just let it dry and you are set for the day. Stays on throughout the day and night. You will probably need a makeup remover to get it off. The only downside is it will sometimes kinda pill after lots of talking and many hours, but I haven't found a lipstick with this staying power, in a shade this flattering that is any better. It stays on better that KVD Lolita which I tried when I couldn't find this shade, but Lolita pulled way to dark on me and came off in an hour or two, while this color stays true and stays on till you take it off.
Between this lipstick and the NYX shine out loud the NYX wins by a long shot. 1st thing I disliked- the gloss. Compared to the NYX this gloss is very very sticky and thick feeling (which I am not a fan of). The NYX lipstick gloss feels more like a thin light weight oil/gloss layer on your lips. It’s not too overwhelming. 2 second thing I didn’t like. Dry, peeling lips. The color on the lip stick does last long but will not make it past 2-3 hours. My lips were feeling a little dry so I put more of the gloss on and I felt a lot of pieces of peeled off lipstick/skin on my lips. I checked the mirror and the lipstick looked patchy so I completely rubbed it off and had to re apply. The NYX has never given me this issue. If you’re going for a long lasting lipstick that doesn’t feel overwhelming on the lips spend the extra 2-3 dollars on the NYX shine out loud lipstick and not this one. Way longer lasting and looks aesthetically pleasing to the eye. No patchy lips.
This stuff STAYS on ALL day! Although I like the feel of creamy lipsticks by high-end companies (like Mac), I find those disappear and have to constantly be reapplied. This Maybelline ColorStay is on my lips until I take it off. It also does not come off on my coffee cup or when I kiss someone. The only time I ever need to reapply is if I eat very oily foods. Infinite Raspberry is my perfect color for everyday wear. (I am a fair-skinned brunette with cool undertones who tans easily.) I have been using this product for years, and every time I try something different, I come right back because the color is perfect and I hate dealing with constantly reapplying lipstick. If there is excess product on the sponge applicator, I scrape it back into the tube before using. Let the first coat dry, and then apply a 2nd light layer if you want more color.
I used to use a similar product by Maybelline, but it never really lasted so long at all so I gave up with long lasting lip products. This one by Revlon is totally different. It lasted through a complete dinner, dessert and drinks without a smudge and no fading. I have some tips for application: Don't use a lip primer, lip balm or anything else on your lips. Make sure they are dry without residue from any other lip product before applying. If you do a lip scrub, make sure it has been totaly rinsed off first. Then carefully apply the lipcolor. I like do go a smidge outside the lipline, not too much, just the tiniest but. Make sure lips are completely covered. Then let it dry for a minute or two.
