I was very excited when I got the galaxy dream palette. I'm not so into the bright or holographic highlighter colors but I was willing to try. I dipped my fingers into the pans and I liked the softness of the highlighters. That being said, I could not say the same for the quality of the colors. The upper left shadow looks different in the pan than what it looks like swatched. I was thinking that because the palette is called "Galaxy Dream" it would have more pigmented and "out-of-this-world" colors that would leave you speechless. But I saw and felt and than I was like "meh." This one is a combination of soft shimmers. I love the colors and the versatility of this compact. My skin is medium toned so this palette is very subtle when applied. The package is a little hard to open. There is a mirror and four shades ranging from highlighting shimmer to brow and cheek contour. This is not a contour kit so if you are looking for deep definition this is the not the product for you. I like a natural looking face so it is perfect for me. You have to peel back the label to see instructions as to how to get the best use of the colors. I tried it as per the instructions and then I picked the things I liked and used them. Revlon has Sunlit Dream highlighting palette was an amazing experience. I like how they include 4 different highlights for different skintones. Plus I do think its smart because I personally like using different shades of highlighter for different parts of my face. In indoor lighting it gave me a pretty glow, that was natural, then stepped outside and saw that it became more noticeable then when I was inside. It became more blinding and noticeable. At first when touching the actual product they seemed chalkey, but once swatched and put on the cheeks with a brush I no longer saw the chalky aspect in the product. If anyone is looking for an extra blinding effect, wet your brush with setting spray and it will become more blinding and intense. I am really liking this sunlight dream Revlon photoready highlighting palette. It feels and looks like a luxury palette, especially with the weight and the awesome sized mirror. The formula is stiff and I love that, because I know that it won't break apart easily and auth that being said they aren't powdery. I wish the colors had names verses numbers, but its no biggie. Also, there should have been just a little bit more diversity between shade 1&2 because they are very similar, even though #2 has more of a peachy undertone than #1. I have a pretty pale complexion and find it a little difficult to find colors that arent too dark for my skin tone. This palette is great! I have tried other highlighters that have caused a powdery looking finish rather than light reflecting shimmer and I didnt have any such problem with this palette. The packaging is very sleek and simple but feels a little more secure when opening (it doesnt fly open hard or resist too much) it also stays open sitting up, doesnt fall flat or closed, a major plus for me. It's very easy to use and quite flattering on pale skin. These highlighting palette have 4 shades you can use separately or together. I found it easiest to just swirl a large fluffy brush in it and apply to my cheekbones and apples of my cheeks. The shades can also be used as an eyeshadow and to highlight your cupid's bow and other areas. It gives a subtle sheen without any crazy shimmer or glitter, which makes it ideal for a very natural, glowy look. For tan or darker skin tones, I'd definitely recommend the 'PEACH GLOW' palette.
