Revlon One-Step Salon Hair Dryer and Volumiser Mid-Short Hair

The Revlon Salon one- step hair dryer and volumizer works brilliantly on my hair. This product not only dries my hair but also creates volume and shine, making a wonderful at home blow dry. I've shoulder length very fine hair that's prone to frizzing. I've had this dryer for just over a month. First thing I was shocked at was how big the brush is. Really can't see anyone being able to use on short hair.So far, I've found the high heat setting far too hot so just use the low heat setting. Takes longer to dry my hair with this device as you have to section it. The brush doesn't get tangled which is a bonus and my hair's been left feeling very soft.I have found it difficult to dry my fringe with this device though and also it doesn't dry the roots very well so having to finish off with a normal dryer. I had a voucher and managed to buy it for £10 less, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend spending ~£50 on this.PROS:- the little cool knob at the end that makes it easy to control and drag the brush through the strand of hair you are in the process of drying.- definitely easier to manoeuvre than the classic brush in one hand - hair dryer in another and no sore muscles after.- the oval shape really lets you get close to the roots.- the first level heat is quite gentle, much more than I expected, which I am happy with, as curly hair is already more damage-prone. It does take longer to dry (30 mins) but less than with a brush-hairdryer (45 mins).- definitely useful if you want to be done in 15 mins (level 2); personally, I wouldn't recommend using it too often.- very good for people who, regardless of the reason, have trouble using their hands (I have RSI in one hand and I was able to dry parts of my hair just with my good one, when the other started hurting).- the boar bristles really help with the shine and cut down on frizz.- didn't sweat when using it!CONS:- heat distribution throughout the brush is uneven, the top part on level one is maybe half the temp of the bottom half.- the second level heat is too much, the knob gets hot, the brush gets hot. It's quite a jump - there should be an intermediate level, or please tone down the heat on this one. I will probably not be using this unless I am absolutely time-pressured, with a bunch of heat protector sprayed in.- the cooling option takes SO LONG to kick in, I ended up not using it at all, which is no biggie if you're using just the first level setting.This being said, I will keep using it for the following personal reasons:- I like the first level heat setting; it's good for my hair and I know I won't be using the brush every single time, so no damage in the long run.- still faster than the brush-hairdryer combo.- easy to use in spite of my RSI.
