Revlon is way too expensive in Canada even before tax. For a drugstore option that performs similar to other drugstore matte lipsticks, i would only recommend buying when the brand goes on sale. No way does the quality fit 14$ pre-tax. The packaging of the matte lipstick is very pretty. I like the gold room on the cap and the matte black surface is nice to look a, that's it. It has that same problem as Nars matte packaging where it will collect all fingerprints, dust, anything on it and not easy to clean. The texture of the lipstick is creamy and glides on very smoothly. No tugging at all and dries into a soft matte. The cream formula is hands-down my favorite, though I know there’s a lot of love for the recently discontinued Glass Shine formula. I tried these lipstick when it is on promotion. This is not bad, but not too good. I give 6/10. If you are looking for a good basic lipstick, this is a classic lipstick that you can have at least one in your collection. The price is very affordable and reasonable. It is not the most amazing lipstick formula, but the formula is comfortable. I can say that it does wear off and smears easily sometimes, but when it is a classic tube of lipstick, thats what you are gonna get, I understand and I do not expect more. However, I love the color collection, and bought several of them. There are many great colors and most of the colors its amazing.

Great drugstore option

I have this lipstick in the shade Shameless and it is one of my favorite formulas. It is a creamy lightweight matte with a lot of pigment. In terms of formula, it competes with more high end brands. It most closely resembles (IMO) the bareMinerals BarePro Longwear lipstick formula (in the thin tube). I loved that formula! In terms of the color, I'd describe it as a terracotta nude rose - on my light olive skin it definitely is warm, so I don't like to wear it opaquely, but a light application is beautiful. It's very nuanced for a drugstore shade. I haven't explored any of the other colors, but would love to.

But the Chanel Rouge Cocoa Flash cost 40.00 each and that is a lot for as much as I use lip products. So I had heard an advertisement about a Revlon Shiny Lipstick and thought , oh ! Pleasantly surprised!

I really wasn't sure if Mauvy Night would look right on me, as my skin tone is warm and I'm far from pale, yet to my surprise it actually looks great. Also it's my very first time trying a Revlon lipstick. So onto the product itself... It's a gorgeous dark berry/plum tinted mauve shade with a slightly glossy cream finish. In the tube, the color does look a bit darker than how it looks once on your lips, so worth bearing that in mind. Lasting power is excellent, the only time I have to reapply is after a meal, no issues with transfer onto glasses or cups when I sip water throughout the day. These are probably the best drugstore matte bullet lipsticks I've tried and I'm pretty sure I've tried most of them at this point. So creamy with like a satin matte finish. No smell or taste like the waxy smell and taste that the Maybelline bullet lipsticks have and they're not drying over the day. These and the Milani Color Fetish Mattes are probably my top drugstore bullet lipsticks, but those unfortunately have an even smaller shade range than these. Like with many matte bullet lipsticks, if you have very dry lips this can emphasize or cling onto dry patches (My MAC lipsticks do this too) but they don't tug and are not hard to spread over the lips and don't feather. You can throw your hard-earned after the over-priced "cult beauty" brands OR do what genrations of glamourous ladies did; use Revlon lippy! The ladies who brought you into this world wore Revlon as far back as the 1930s. Revlon lives on because its products work. The Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick gives high colour payoff and a glossy shine. Sure, the matte lippies are great and budge-proof under masks but glossy lips are just begging to be kissed. It is not for nothing TikTok is made for Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick.

Worth the hype?

This lipstick is literally sold out everywhere! Finally got my hands on it! As you can see, it's a beautiful pink shade with hints of sienna brown in it. The formula is super hydrating and creamy so obviously this will not stay on your lips. One meal and its completely gone. But I am obsessed with the shade. It's such a pop of color on your face, a perfect springtime shade. This shade will compliment pale to wheatish to medium to tan to olive to dusky skin tones. But it's going to wash out deeper skin tones but they will look bomb with a berry or a chocolate lip liner. The price point just doesn't justify the lipstick. Other than that a beautiful springtime shade.
