Price was suspect until it arrived. Very stout construction and the attention to detail of the fit and finish was very good. I'm still waiting on my FireStik to arrive for installation.

Very expensive product but at least pretty well done and sturdy. When you need it you don’t have the choice.

Built like a Rhino

Excellent mount for our cellular booster. The double-pin angle indexing makes for a fairly bulletproof mount. There is a slight play in the locking bolt (not the bayonet pin that you pull with the handle) that could be cured by the use of a flathead bolt or other style bolt with a tapered collar to draw the two halves of the mount together firmly. Using loose lockwashers on the locking bolt is not optimal, either...a flange bolt with an integral lockwasher would be far better; as it stands, it's too easy to loose bits of hardware when removing the locking bolt. On the other hand, the threaded storage hole for the locking bolt is a secure place to keep the locking bolt while you're pivoting the antenna. Rhino's rail system is immensely beefy and the hardware is larger than competitors'. 1/4-20 bolts work just fine to hold this mount securely.

Expensive but well made

I was looking for a folding mount to mount a Weboost OTR antenna on a custom Sprinter roof rack. Now everything for Sprinters is silly expensive but I kind of balked at the price for this mount. When I received it I was really impressed at the quality and craftsmanship. Expensive for sure but it works well for my needs.

Features, benefits and downsides

It is perfect for mounting a UHF antenna on the roof rack or roof bar.It does whistle a bit at highway speed, but the cable routing does keep your antenna cable safe.The folding mechanism is very robust, but could be fiddly until you get used to it.

Bought this to mount a WeBoost cell phone signal booster on my truck. Needed something to allow me to fold the antenna down when not in use so I could still go through car washes. It’s been perfect for that and is incredibly sturdy. I’ve been asked multiple times about the mount since adding it and recommended MooseJaw each time.
