This little radio is full of features patterns are a little small but manageable instruction manual is quite good what wasn't very good was I could not find a mike speaker for it but it turns out you can use the one of these ( Speaker Microphone for Kenwood Baofeng UV5R 888S UV82 Retevis RT3S Two Way Radio ) the aerial is the same of the Baofeng uv-5r so you can get a bigger aerial or a cable or even a remote mount aerial have fun . But have not yet found the battery that will fit

Good unit at a great price. 5W units from the other makes were a lot more expensive.Used this when doing a beach off-roading trip with a mate, and the unit was quite clear and with no static.Understanding the manual is a bit of a pain, owing to the tiny font and number of pages to read.

I bought of these handhelds when they were on special. The keys are extremely small but for simple operation between e.g. touring groups or families they’re not bad. I have high end GME handhelds, an old Uniden 760, and there’s no comparison. I tested the output on both radios with fully charged batteries and they just manage 4W output. When the voltage drops then this becomes worse. So a half charged unit is operating just shy of 3W. The antennas supplied are ok, but my old Uniden stock antenna is much better in built up areas and open road too. These radios are rebadged baofeng or similar Chinese made units. I would buy one of the several Chinese 5W radios for less than half what I paid for these. Do your research there’s better out there. I just drove from perth to darwin and back. it worked very well. i am quiet sure its not putting out 5w but for the price its very well worth it and will be enough for most people who travel the country. the LED light is handy for viewing at night. I have found it has way too many features which require proper study to figure out and the instruction book is very small and hard to read unless you have glasses. I might look for a pdf version instead.the 12 volt charging takes a long time, and the cord could be longer. and a suitable clip to install in the car would have been awesome if included. over all very happy, thanks SCA
Returned it, stupid expensive for a locked down Baofeng. It's not that they're bad at all, it's that you can get a Baofeng for 30-50 bucks and easily program the 80 channels 🤷‍♂️
Couldn't get the squelch to work so couldn't use it with that noise the whole time, instruction manual told me to press buttons that doesn't exist on this model. Went back to using the 0.5W one we already had, waste of money for us.
I have recently purchased this little programmable UHF.It is strong yet light programmable clear sound and fits in your pocket.I will and would recommend this product.With the added bonus of car charger and ear piece this quickly on the first day became indispensable to my while working with heavy loud construction machinery .Remote compacters/rollers,Escavators, bobcats.Absolutely brilliant kit..

This little radio looks like another one available online so is good value when it’s on special.The sound quality is good and seems to have a good usable range though I haven’t tested it.The battery life is good. The radio is ok if you set a channel and forget though the buttons are way to small to be able to use on the go and you really need good eyesight to see the figures on the buttons. The display of the channel is also the smallest number tucked in on bottom of the screen. It seems there are heaps of features on this radio if you are interested in all of that though to be of any use you need to stop and read the instructions (do not lose) which are a bit hit and miss too.If your budget only allows for this 5W radio it’s ok.
Don’t know if unit is faulty but cannot pickUp any transmission from trucks at all. Hubby is a truck driver so knows the channels and frequencies and has tried everything but cannot get it to work. Buttons are very small as well.
