RATING IS FOR MISLEADING ZORO INFORMATION, NOT THE TOOL.ZORO IS SHOWING TWO DIFFERENT CUTTERS HERE IN THEIR PHOTOS. THE 2A HAS 3 CUTTER WHEELS AS IN THE FIRST PHOTO, NOT 1 CUTTER AND TWO ROLLERS AS IN THE SECOND PHOTO.

I borrowed one from an older friend of mine who has had this tool for many years (I think even decades) doesn't use it often but it's still going strong. I made 6 cuts in galvanized steel pipes although it was a little difficult because of the strength of the material and the size of the pipes (2 3/8"). It is a bit heavy but that is expected for such a heavy duty tool.

Great USA made tool! I have used this company's pipe cutters for the past 50 years and really appreciate the quality of American made products.

Works perfectly. So far I have only used it on tubing, but this tool works as advertised. It is heavier and bulkier than a tubing cutter, but I wanted to have the flexibility of using it for steel and cast iron pipe in the future.
I have climbed comm towers for years. I install specific wireless radio equipment that requires heavy-duty mast material. Our flavor of choice in 2"in rigid galvanized pipe. This cutter, I have been using for 10 years and just now replaced with a shiny new one. Still cuts like a hot knife through butter. A little tip, do not CRANK the jaws. The natural motion around the pipe is more than enough to easily cut in about 10 spins. For that heavy a pipe, a hand cutter would normally take much more and wear you and the cutting-die blade out very quickly. This thing is a beast for beastly jobs.
Although this is reconditioned, its just as good as being out of the box brand new. For the price, it was worth it; the cutting wheel is brand new and was also painted just like the original. The frame wasn't warped and the cutting wheel hit the same spot while cutting. I got my money back after doing three jobs and the cutting wheel held up. I'm sure the cutting wheel will last another 50+cuts. GREAT VALUE.
I've owned one of these Ridgid pipe cutters for many years. I recently inherited another professional brand pipe cutter of the same size, but sold it on e-bay, as the Ridgid was a better tool. Any cheap pipe cutter will handle copper. This one cuts up to 2" steel pipe with ease, as long as it's securely held in a [pipe] vise. Great tool.
I've only cut a few 3/4" pipe with this thing so I don't know how long the cutter will last but it sure starts out sharp. It's a substantial pipe cutter that cuts clean and maybe as fast as a saw, at least in my experience a much better cut.I didn't count the rotations to completion, maybe 10, I wasn't in a hurry I just turned the cutter knob slightly (not tight) with each rotation. Nice tool, works very well.
Way too heavy and bulky for my purposes. Took great effort to make insignificant cuts into galvanized pipes, and couldnt cut through pipes. 68 yo female doing lots of diy plumbing in very very old river cabin. Bought lightweight reciprocating saw and was able to cut through pipe in 15 minutes. Maybe use it now for weight lifting exercises! ??
Worked fine cutting 1β to 1.5β rigid and IMC conduit for a home project. Even with the device closed to the maximum, I donβt understand how this large pipe cutter could possibly cut 3/8β much less 1/8β tubing. Am I missing something?(Non plumber)
