They are more fragile than others I have had, and than a typical wine glass, so I have learned the hard way to be very careful in handling and hand-washing. So much nicer to drink from a super thin, cut glass edge rather than a rolled edge.Two things to note:1) these are big for champagne glasses so watch out if you are sharing out the bottle carefully;2) they are tall (as are most of the Riedel glasses, so think about where you are going to keep them. I will admit that they take up a lot of room in the dishwasher, especially because they do not fit on the top. So, not only do you have to put them on the bottom of the dishwasher but I like to make sure they are secured between the slots – and then make sure to do a heated air dry and they come out just like new! I have only ever broken two glasses and that is when I was hand washing because you have to be ever so careful not to put too much torch on the stem when rotating to dry/clean.
