Bought this for my 93 and 92 year old parents and wanted something which worked well and was simple to use. This is it!!! I've had the exact same one for about 3 years and it works brilliantly. Warms my home very quickly, is super quiet and not too expensive to run. I would highly recommend this heater to anyone who asks.

We purchased the Rinnai around a month ago and have never looked back. Out entire 3 story townhouse warms up within 15 minutes. So far we haven't found an issue with any smell (as mentioned in other comments) but again have only used it a couple of times. Our 1 year old is safe as there are no hot elements for her to play with. Just make sure you follow safety instructions and keep a window open for fresh air. Love love love it! We chose the Rinnai based on independent reviews on Choice magazine. Definitely worth it! Appliances Online also offered the CHEAPEST price (by far) with free next day delivery! It is very expensive heater. The size is apt to my living area. Economy mode is cost effective.I recommend the RINNAI PORTABLE heater, but choose the right size. I am waiting for my first bill.We have to wait and see for the long term performance. Very little noise as my one is new. It is good idea that open the door some time to get rid of the very mild gas smell. I am happy with the purchase via Online appliances ( Quick, helpful delivery man and over the phone staff)I recommend RINNAI.
We purchased the Rinnai Dynamo NG DY15 because we had another area to heat in the home after being very happy with the Rinnai Avenger previously purchased through AO.This heater is powerful enough for the larger area and uses less power and comes with a remote which we can use for both heaters.There is one negative however :( and that is that the price of the Dynamo is cheaper now than when we purchased it 3 weeks ago :( Maybe we should have held off buying it for a little bit longer!

I love the 2 timer functions it has (+ override function for those cold days when I want the heater on longer), so we wake up to a warmer lounge room which is great. It switches off by itself, too, which gives me great peace of mind. It's whisper quiet--I barely noticed it was on when I got it, compared to our old heater which sounded like a jet engine. No funky gas smells like my old heater. If I ever do smell something funny, I always know now to check the fan cover on the back. It's usually dusty, so I quickly wipe it down and the smell disappears. The child lock has come in handy when visitors are over, and the remote control is great for those occasional lazy days. We have always had gas heaters but always radiant ones. The heat was mainly in front of them. This Rinnsi hears our whole room amd pistes through the longer it is on. The timer feature is the absolute best, I set it for 7am and by the time I come out at 7.20 the room is toasty warm. Love love love it! Best money ever spent!
Easily heats up small to medium rooms without any problem .. in fact will even do a larger room as heat gets around pretty quick. For my smallish office space it only needs to be on L the lowest temp setting and it heats it up rather quick. The remote is extremely handy and I have never had to touch the heater at all. Cannot go wrong with Rinnai as long as you service it once every 2 years or so. Brilliant gas heater!!
Had this item once before. Sold it when I moved due to no gas in new home... BIG mistake. Best Gas Heater I've ever had, so bought another one this winter for our natural gas connection! Seriously, heats the whole open plan area, kitchen and dining / family room. Timers are great, eco mode never used before now, works well at regulating the heat while saving money. We love this heater. Rinnai are the best.
Since the weather has turned chilly I have been grateful for my Rinnai gas heater. I had a bit of trouble connecting the hose to the bayonet fitting when it first arrived as the fitting hadn't been used for ages - a few squirts of WD40 and a lot of ptience until it had eased up the coupling and it then connected quite easily. The heater is easy to use and heats up my apartment quickly. . I;m told these are cheaper to run than an electric heater - time will tell. Very pleased with my purchase and the price from AO was cheaper than buying the smaller sized unit from my local appliance store. Delivry on a day that suited me. Very pleased.
