Long time surfer, amazed how advanced the materials in this suit are. Warm and flexible. Learning curve to use the back zip that now pulls up the inside flap and zipper. Only real negative is key pocket placement on the bottom of the zipper. Unless you are a Yogi, it's a bit tricky to reach. Good suit, very pleased with it and WW/Chris Moleskie CEO customer service.

First off, my hat is off to EVO. Years and years of fantastic pricing and customer service. Now, with that said, I have not hit the water yet with the 2XL Rip Curl 4/3 Dawn Patrol. However, I have had nothing but good luck with all my rip curl products in the past. The fit is perfect. My only complaint, this is my first Chest Zip product and I am not yet sold on this design. I needed help getting into the suit. Once on however, it was just about perfect. I am hoping for a trip to the water in a couple weeks and I will update this post. As for fit and what I had expected, this is perfect. (6'1" / 225 / 48"Chest). It is no question a snug fit but not uncomfortable.

I love this wetsuit. I've used it surfing in 58 degree water for hours without getting cold. I pair this with a neoprene hat and booties to tolerate heavy wind or even colder weather. I see a lot of negative comments about the chest zipper, but I find it easy to use, and it doesn't flush at all. If you have trouble zipping it or want to store it for the season, I recommend lubricating the zipper.

I wear a LT in all other wetsuits but Rip Curl seems to be smaller. I thought it might have been from this horrible winter when I was on a strict diet of doughnuts and beer to ease my suffering. But talking to others they all agree Rip Curl runs a bit smaller than the rest. I almost called 911 to have the fire department cut me out of it, very scary. The suit was promptly returned. Great suit well made, don't be like doughnut boy (me) check the size chart.
Once again, cleanline exceed expectations. Great shopping experience, quick shipping, fair prices.The quality suit is excellent, sizing is a bit tight but still accurate. Haven used it yet. Weather is getting hot down here, is 3.2 time now and summer is getting closer, so im gonna have to wait till next may to test it
Absolutely great suit for 50+ degree water. Very comfortable and the build quality is top notch. The only downside and I feel it’s a major one is the chest zipper. Instead of zipping from the inside out, you have to connect it to the other side like a jacket zipper. It’s a pain when most other companies stopped using this type of zipper for a while now.
Great suit, flexible and warm. I am 6 feet tall weigh 205. I have an XL. I have been using it this month surfing in waters of Long Island NY. Dawn patrol 34 degree mornings off shore NW winds water in the 50s. Paired it with a Rip Curl flashbomb hood nice and warm. As always free shipping and wetsuit arrived faster than I expected.
I've purchased Rip Curl wetsuits since 1976. I have worn a pair of Dawn Patrol 4/3 and 3/2 for the last 3 years, purchased on sale and they still work well. Decided to upgrade to the current model with more Flash and Thermal lining. Picked up another pair of 4/3 and 3/2 DPs from Jacks. Solid wetsuits, they take abuse like a Timex and keep me warm in the lineup.
Due to Covid and the cold ocean temperatures it was impossible to find a wetsuit in San Diego. Our order from Jack’s arrived in the quick end of window. The confirmation email was hilarious and made us smile but not nearly as big of a smile as when the wetsuit arrived. The lining is awesome and offers great protection from the cold and slips on and off easily. The color is beautiful. It is such a great wetsuit. We couldn’t be happier with the product and customer service! Thank you!!!!
Only a few sessions in so can't speak to longevity, but it is crazy warm in the 50F's (air and water), sealed tight, and very stretchy around the shoulders. I'm 6'1 175lbs and the LT fits perfect, pretty easy to get in/out of. Great value for the price.
