The reason for the easier installation or removal is thanks to Ritchey's unique "press-fit" handlebar clamp. This design improves the interface between the stem and handlebar making attaching the bars to your bike simpler and faster. Also, the forward-facing bolts mean fine tune adjustments are a breeze. Secure and Stable Engagement In addition to easy installation, the WCS 220's clamp design creates a stable and secure bar engagement. This, in turn, increases bar stiffness for more precise handling, sprinting and climbing. Also, the coated CrMo bolts are positioned in alignment with the clamp plate's face for a more efficient hold and reduced flex.

I needed a 140 mm stem and this Ritchey looks like it will be perfect. Very light and exquisitely made. This company is nice and easy to deal with too and so far they haven't made any mistakes on my two orders.

Purchased to bring the front end of my Lynskey Ti MTB down slightly as it has a quite a long steerer tube length. Works a treat, the only negative I have was how long it took to get too me, way too long, almost a month to arrive in Australia.

Great stem for not only the price point but the 80mm, IMHO is the ideal set up for a gravel bike. The trend is definitely shorter stems so I’m on board ditching the 110mm or 100 mm stems. Good price and super fast shipping from Jenson. Also great return policy.

I wanted to shorten my stem from 105mm to 90mm. So, I went to my go to dealer..........Jenson...........searched Ritchey stems and slam bam, they had the perfect stem for my liking! Paired up with Ritchey handlebar and hit the trail! The shorted stem with the wider bar combination gave my XC bike the perfect balance between control and responsivness. Ritchey makes quality parts and Jenson never lets me down!
Everybody knows that Ritchey products are some of the best. However, if the parts aren't in stock, they're not much good to anyone. Somehow Jenson USA seems to have more stuff in stock than any other sellers and their shipping procedures are top notch. Keep it up guys. Love it!
Frankly I preferred the 260degree version, but I think they quit making them because handlebar insertion was a painful experience. Not sure if they still ship these with Torx bolts, but if they do, they should stop. Not enough surface area with a Torx on such a small bolt head, and the outcome will inevitably be a stripped/damaged head.
Stem looks nice and seems well made. Maybe just not used to this design. I knew it had a different faceplate design but didn't buy it for that. Found it a bit tricky to get the faceplate bolts in since they install under an angle and was afraid to crossthread them. Also scratched my handlebars like another person said. Made a quick touch up with a permanent marker. Not sure I would buy this 220deg faceplate design again. I don't think it makes a real difference regarding stiffness or strength. Some folks must buy it for that feature - so there will be other opinions on that I'm sure.
Ritchey is top shelf. I typically use Thomson stems and seat posts, but have recently switched to Ritchey for my stems. Both are excellent but Ritchey is a nice lightweight alternative to Thomson.
I like this stem for a few reasons, but it does have 1 draw back that I will mention at the end. First of all, I have a Canyon gryzl 7 Trail. Canyon and a few companies really enjoy using 1-1/4 diameter steering tube stems. Because of this, the amount of available stems is super limited. This one was not only smaller in profile but also weighed less. The main draw back to this stem is that it uses the 220 degree clamp. This means if you have a computer mount that uses the stem cap bolts it will cause your mlunt to be at a strange angle. This means you either have to use the bar mounted computer mount or one of the two adjustable angle mounts made because of this stem.
been primarily using wcs AL stuff for 10 years. look, price, weight, quality, ride feel.. its the best bang for the buck.. usually it outrides even the more expensive carbon bits.
