Long time Rival guy; bags, wraps, & gloves. Started with RB20s, then the previous iteration of RB10s before moving to the new RB10s. Two issues with the new RB10s; first the thumb. The thumb in the older RB10s was curved & connected to the glove at the top of the thumb, making it easy to make a fist. The thumb in the new RB10s is set straight & connects to the glove along the side of the thumb. It's near impossible to make a fist, making it near impossible to use the gloves on a heavy bag. Second concern is the glove's stiffness. It goes beyond 'new gloves to work in'. After ample light heavy bag work & double end bag work in combination with compressing the gloves to make them more pliable, they are far too stiff to use. FYI - Rival will charge you for returns - Cost me $30 to exchange size. Very dated policy when most online retailers provide pre-paid returns, especially in country of origin. This was originally a 1 Star review - but Rival buried it on the reviews page (final review +34 pages back). They've stated via email that their algorithm determines what gets posted & in what order. IMO this is helpful information for those looking to make an informed decision on what gloves to spend money on.

Amazing wrist support and the D30 has great shock absorption. Only 2 minor issues is that mines came with about 10cm of hanging thread inside the glove that was difficult to tear/cut-off (I was too afraid to pull it in case it caused inside stitching to come un-done); and the velcro hook tends to catch on the nylon straps and mines are already getting fuzzy and slightly frayed... but Now I'm just extra careful to keep the staps fully closed (unless I'm air-drying it out, when I then need to fold back the strap to keep the hooks from catching the nylon strap again).

This is my second pair of RB10's. My first pair lasted almost 5 years, when I was struggling to get even 6 months out of a set of gloves before that (not cheap gloves either. I've been through fairtex, venum, hayabusa, everlast, sting, and others). RB10s have easily been the best feeling and sounding bag gloves. I had also broken my hand 4 times throughout my boxing life, but not a single problem since switching to these. More than anything I was so happy to finally have gloves that actually last. The padding on my 5 year old pair was still mostly fine, I just wanted to buy a new colour. Easily worth the cash.

Ok these gloves truly made my jaw drop and made me want to write a review. I have 12 pairs of gloves because I have a problem and I am obsessed with muay thai. I have most the major brands except for Twins, they are next. I have two torn ligaments in my right wrist, pain won't go away due to insufficient blood going in which results in not healing. 33 yrs old but body feels 90. I can literally punch the bags at my home right away with these gloves, usually I have to warm up by stretching and using heat devices on knuckles and wrist. They are very light and snug for being XL. I am 6'2" and my hands are enormous, these gloves fit so good. Not enough room for traditional wraps so I use the inner glove with gel knuckles and short velcro wrist wrap that comes on it, then ... Not enough room for traditional wraps so I use the inner glove with gel knuckles and short velcro wrist wrap that comes on it, then I use athletic tape on my wrist if needed and gloves fit great still. I cannot feel anything, some people might not like that but I need that and that is what these are made for. Half way through sessions I will switch to smaller glove with more feedback because I am warmed up and pain isn't so bad. Rival got these gloves to me in three days, it usually takes a week or longer with other brands. That is just awesome and I will always shop here now for that reason. These gloves are expensive but honestly if you have pain and need protection these are the gloves. Next best pair in my opinion for protection is the Fighting Sport Fear gel bag gloves. They have same lining on inside and very good protection, less expensive, but these are lighter and completely block pain, and THESE GLOVES POP POP POP. Thank you Rival!!!!! I truly mean that!!!!
Bought these gloves to see if I could get more protection on the heavy bag as I broke my 4th and 5th quite bad nearly a year ago. Picked up the 180" wraps and I have to say I noticed the difference immediately. As always the gloves themselves are amazing quality and did not disappoint. I bought the white pair to try and mix the colours up and so far they are great. I'll always recommend Rival products.
Pretty much perfect ergonomics and wrist support. I wish there was a sparring glove that felt exactly like these(the older old RS11V’s were close but less durable than the newer RS11V’s, which have a more secure gauntlet feel).Obviously shock absorption is substantial. Not sure if the D30 really improves anything but it certainly doesn’t hurt and the armored surface aesthetic looks cool.Only pause for concern is I needed to go all the way up to size XL when I’m barely more than a medium sized guy. The size L’s were too tight while the L’s of the RB50’s were just fine.Thankfully that XL’s are pretty light at just under 13 oz’s. I think Rival should consider making hand compartment size a separate selection from ounces for as many gloves as possible. Especially ... MorePretty much perfect ergonomics and wrist support. The best pair of bag gloves I've owned, ever. Super impact absorption, I don't feel a thing in my hands when I'm hitting the bag or mitts. I've had major problems with tendonitis in my right wrist to the point I was not hitting the bag with my right hand, but with these gloves on I'm good to hit the bag, with no pain in my wrist.Expensive gloves, yes, but it's not a cost, it's an investment, and I consider it to be more than worth it.
The glove is very narrow inside, even in XL size. I cannot form a proper fist (tried without wraps). Still have them a chance, and tried them on variety of bags and that lead to pinky pain. As I cannot form a proper fist, my left pinky is resting on a piece of stiff material, and if I hit a heavy bag one of the pinky joints gets injured. Cannot return them, so I guess will have to sell to someone with smaller hands.
Rival makes great gloves. This was my 3rd pair(RB10). When I opened the box(with my bare hands) I found one of the gloves sliced clean across the knuckle and unusable. I contacted customer service with pictures of them and the box. I have been sent to three different people with excuse after excuse. I finally spoke to a supervisor and was told I would have a return label sent to me within an hour. That was a week ago with no response to my emails afterwards. I've been dealing with this for over a month and not able to use my gloves. Totally ridiculous and embarrassing.
