Ronald Dahl was one of my favorite aurthors growing up, and I had some of these book that I had bought for my daughter. This collection will be given to my grandchild when that day arrives.
Our kids love these! We have a lot of children's books and these are a hit on our bookshelf. They are fun too read aloud the them and the kids enjoy the illustrations. My five kids from 12 down to 4 years old have enjoyed read aloud time with these fantastic books. I do sometimes alter phrasing when I read like " shut up" I often see but other than that the verbage is pretty clean. My third grader needs some help with read ing some words but is enthusiastic about reading them.
Must-have collection for any child. Wonderful stories in an attractive box. Once you take the books out, it's very hard to get them all back in, especially once they have been read and thumbed through. However, these are fantastic stories and excellent value.

My daughter has this collection of books and had worn them out over the years from constantly reading them. A big favourite. This collection is for my grandson who is going to enjoy them as much as his mum has.
I bought this when Puffin announced they were bowdlerising Dahl in the disgusting cause of Wokery. I don't particularly like Dahl's work, but I shall treasure this set as a contribution to the great war of our times, the struggle for sanity, freedom of thought and speech, decency, and truth: the War on Woke.
Sadly my 6 year old Grandson already had this wonderful collection and his Dad will have to exchange. But great collection at a great price !
