This is a copy of a 15~20 year old Fisher & Paykel model that is no longer available. It has the advantage of having mostly the same dimensions as the F&P, however the quality is lower and some part substitutions cause problems. Like screw heads that need 2mm more cabinet clearance than the original F&P model. And thinner front handles that leave 5mm more gap to the cabinet doors. You can re-use your old handle if that is a problem.The installation instructions are quite adequate for top mounting but no dimensions are provided for side mounting. Bought exact replacement of exisiting Robin Hood rangehood - Cheap rangehood that has great extraction capacity for price range and much quieter than previous modelOnly downside is filters are fiddly to remove and brackets can break easy if you are not carefulAlso the front bar is thinner than previous model so can see the rangehood box now

It is not easy to find a rangehood with rear duct option, finally found this model that fit. Surprisingly the fan is pretty powerful and can do a good job clearing smoky air and smells from the kitchen. So far I am happy with product.

Good quality for the price. Easy to instal. Works as expected.
Replaced the old rangehood of the same size. Good value for the price. Came with both ssteel and white face plates, I used white so it’s almost invisible with the white cupboards. Came with 2 50w halogen globes which I replaced with 5w LEDs. Has 3 fan speeds so does the job without paying a fortune.
While not the dual fan and features of range hoods thousands of dollars dearer, this base model does what it is meant to do. Get rid of odors, smoke, fat and fumes from the kitchen. The fan has three speeds and the two lights illuminate the cook top quite well. Would have been nice if they were LED lights to keep electricity price down. The single fan pulls smoke and fumes from all corners meaning it does the job well. Monitoring the electricity use, the fan has a slight increase. The main power drain is from the lights, which is doubles the fan usage being halogen.

They've improved the clips on the filter so that it doesn't stop the slide from closing. Still not powerful enough though.

Unfortunately when we renovated our kitchen these were one of the few 90cm slide out rangehoods on the market, we had it installed and all was well for about 18 mnths, however the brackets on the side that hold up the pull out part have a design fault in that they perish in heat which is something that it will obviously be up against above a stovetop!!, Several have been replaced under warranty and tradesmen have told me I am not alone, unfortunately it is hard to get a different brand to fit the built in timber cabinets. However I am happy to get another one from Appliances On Line and have had it installed again.
