This was exactly what we were looking for an we looked all over to find a stoneware set that didn’t come with extra dishes we didn’t need, that was matte, in an ivory color, at an affordable price. This set hit all the marks at an unbelievable price, but I did have a couple issues. The nice thing is that Amazon sent me a replacement set and let me keep the original so it made up for some of the quality issues. I have now cleaned these in the dishwasher and used them in the microwave without any problems. They will scratch just based on the material, but you can clean them with barmaid’s best friend.

I was happy to find this modern and pretty set for a great price. While they look great at first, because of the matte finish they get utensil marks very easily. Also I have had my set for only two months and one of the dinner plates has a crack. I’ve had no response from my emails to customer service to get a replacement plate. The plates are ok for the price but 2 stars because of service.

These are BEAUTIFUL. They stack nicely, are just heavy enough. And the COLOR! We got the teal and it's a very lovely, delicate kind of shade. But be forewarned that if you--like me--don't always get to washing your dishes right away these take stains really easily and they get those grey lines from using cutlery on them, too. (Our last set from Gibson never did, but they were gloss finished and these are matte. Also, I'm not sure why this listing now says "Gracie Oaks," as when we bought them they were listed as Gibson and what we got were marked Gibson. *shrug*) We're willing to accept that, though, and are pretty happy with them!

The quality of the dishes themselves are nice, but I will say that the cream colored dishes look nothing like the photo - the rimmed edges are dark and look like diner dishes. I would have never bought these in this color if the product photos were accurate. When i went to return these (to exchange for white), the return shipping for 2 sets cost as much as one full set (which I bought on sale). Just disappointing overall. I would have been happy with these in white I’m sure. The contrast in cream just looks bad.

We bought these to replace the thinner white set we had that had a lot of carbon streaks on them. They still get dark metal/carbon streaks, although maybe not quite as much as the older, cheaper ones. Overall, I guess they're a pretty good set. We like them. Would just like them more if not for the scuffs. If you're looking for a set that doesn't do this at all, keep looking.

Gray scratches from the utensils

Upon arrival the plates were everything I was hoping for attractive, versatile and something I could use for large holiday gathering that have the ease of being dishwasher safe. Unfortunately the dishes get gray scratch marks on them from the use of untensils, aka zebra marks. I've attempted to remove the marks with Bon Ami and A LOT of elbow grease, however this merely faded the marks. I'm very disappointed as they are very attractive, but as they look now, I wouldn't use them for company. |The idea of having to scrub the zebra marks after each use defeats the purpose of getting dishes you can throw in the dishwasher to avoid handwashing china dishes on special occasions.

Not as Described

it advertises a black design with red outlines but in reality it is a very dark grey with brownish outline. Otherwise its very beautiful and sturdy. However, the pictures did not match.

Not durable with light use

The dishes came packed well but I wish I had kept the boxes so I could return these. After very first use, fork marks are left on the plates and bowls. No heavy slicing mind you, just normal every day use and they look terrible already. The finish is just not right. My last dishes were used over 20 years before they had to be replaced. These are a total waste. The plates also have a weirdly deep lip, which makes them nest in the dishwasher and hard to get clean.

Really decent

I baught these because the vintage appeal. The duck color is gorgeous. Gave me a sense of old world colors in a modern affect. Will look so great on a nice wooden new kitchen table. With wooden spoons and matching duck color napkins. Lol I might even serve duck. And fancy it off with a copper water pitcher . And fresh natural greenery flowers with baby's breath. Maybe an olive tree. Thank u . It saved me time no more dish shopping. This is way better. Experience. Nice amount of serving entrees for a good start. Home is where the heart is.

Wouldn’t Buy

From the picture I thought these dishes would be beautiful. However, they are very cheaply made and the coating of them looks like it was rushed on. There’s spots of coating clumped up all over each dish in different areas. Very disappointing!
