Unfortunately Rockwell were forced to cut the massive range of equipment they released for Australia as it was at a time when the Duo Monopoly was forcing over Hardware Stores out of Business . I now have had a lot of my Rockwell tools including the best table saw that was available under a $1000. This Bench Grinder is being converted to a 300mm Bench Sander with the edition of a wooden base and side tables. If what I need is available in the Rockwell Brand I will buy it , I can not comment on Rockwell's after sales service or repairs or replacement as I have never needed it . Rockwell & Super Cheap are a great combination for DIY.

Was surprised at the solid construction of the Rockwell Bench Grinder. Very comparable to the big brand names and a whole lot cheaper. As it will only be used occasionally I couldn't warrant paying big dollars for a big brand unit but after saying that the Rockwell Bench Grinder, I'm sure, would be at home in a decent sized workshop with regular use. I'm very happy with the purchase and price.Ken

My last bench grinder failed years ago and I haven't had one since, so it's about time I got a new one. The Rockwell 250W is a great starting point if you're just doing small jobs like sharpening drill bits or mower blades, not suitable for anything bigger. Sharpening a set of four mower blades for my ride-on produced quite a bit of dust on the tool rest so the durability of the grinding wheels is pretty average. Might replace them eventually with better ones. The motor does get very hot and may get damaged if you're not careful. Definitely some drawbacks but they're manageable for the hobbyist.

Happy with my bench grinder. Bought polishing kit and works well. My only gripe was with my purchase of the toolpro 150mm wire wheel. It does not fit the bench grinder (too thin so you can't tighten it up). Why sell a 150mm bench grinder and a 150mm wire wheel which are incompatible with each other? Stock a 19mm or 20mm thick wire wheel instead.
I bought this mainly to polish the trims from a car I'm restoring (using the Tool Pro bench grinder polishing kit) but will use the grinding attachments later. Its performing as expected with no issues. Time will tell how resilient it is. Good value for what I need it for.
Great bench grinder. A few seconds and my chisels were razor sharp. Even sharpened my very blunt spade with ease. Has enough grunt to keep high revs under moderate loads. Quiet motor, good size sight shields. Covered on/off switch a tad difficult, but manageable. All in all very happy.
I bought this with the polishing kit and spindles. Polishes up mild steel to a real nice mirror finish, saved me from buying a $600 bench polisher.Easy setup and not too loud (still wear ear protection though).Only con is that it doesn't come with bench mounting screws. They are standard screw size though so not a big deal.Just make sure it's secured to your bench and you are good to go. Worth the money!
Pretty good for DIY'er . Worked well for sharpening tools around the house. Hasn't been using foe long hours as yet. Quiet and balance
Seems ok so far. Grinding wheels not very round and needed dressing up. Got it marked down on special buys and seems to be more powerful then others I looked at.
bought this yesterday, if it's really 250w then it's good value. 150w bench grinders can be had elsewhere cheaper but having used it I reckon you need at least 250w. It was really annoying that one of the thumb screws that loosen the guide was not tapped properly so I had to use a nut I have lying around. Too hard to take it back just for that but annoying. I emailed head office but they can't offer me anything, franchise thing I guess but if you do have an issue with anything don't expect SuperCheap Auto head office to be in a position to help. Also really annoying that because I use an ad blocker I couldnt submit this review until I let SCA through the blocking. I can post reviews on google and productreview with my ad blocker on
