I had to purchase this adaptor because I was borrowing it from a friend and broke it. It was brand new - fresh out of the packaging. I put the lav on the talent. The talent bumped the transmitter. It feel off and hit the ground. The break point was the teeny tiny threading where this adaptor connects to the cable. The concept of this product is great, but it will not hold up to everyday use.

does not connect securely to sony transmitters. It's supposed to have an external thread to secure the connection -- we had to return this item.
