Rode sets the standard - this replacement is top-notch. DON'T JUST BUY THIS - you need the RX transmitter too. This is meant as a replacement if the TX breaks (I broke mine from slamming into a chair)

I was about to purchase this thinking that I would be able to add it to my current RodeLink kit and run two microphones to a single receiver. After seeing the other review of someone else trying to do the same and it not working, I did some more research and found that this is not possible. This is a great piece of gear, but the item description should state that it WILL NOT work without a dedicated receiver for it. I would only recommend purchasing if you are replacing a lost or damaged TX unit.

The wireless receiver can only capture signal from oneactive mic-transmitter at a time.. So apparently you cant buy two of these transmitters and film two people talking. Wasted my money and time buying this especially because they do not tell you any of this on the package. Additionally, B&H will not accept returns on this so I am just left with an extra one. Huge waste of money for something that should have been clearly stated in the product description.
