Worked for our recording. No noticeable distortion. The cable is light, and is best suited for indoor applications where it can be placed away from foot traffic.

Wanting to operate further away from my talent, it appeared the only option, at least to fit within my budget, was a simple extension cable and so I bought the Rode SC1 3.5mm TRRS Jack Extension Cable - 6m and it worked just as promised. I now need to devise a method of storing it to avoid tangles and make transport a little easier.

This was my first time ever purchasing anything related to lavalier microphones and I'm glad that I bought this mobile interview kit for my iPhone when I did. Both microphones, including the SC6-L interface itself, that came in the kit were easy to use and they work perfectly well as the sound quality was as crystal clear as it could ever get. Besides from using RØDEs own Reporter app to record sound with a tap of a red button, It also was simple to use while shooting video with the mobile interface plugged into the lighting port, and both microphones were able to pick up sound without any difficulty while using Apple's very own Camera app to perform the task of interviewing another person. If you're going to do any kind of greenscreen work, or anything that will require you to have some distance to your camera, you'll need this extension cable. It's sturdy yet flexible and has little to no z noise.
Unfortunately, despite reviews citing it's flexibility, the cable did not work with my Diety D3 mic, so I will have to return it. Another off brand did work, though both were trrs cables. I thought for sure the brand name Rode would do it, but sadly it did not. Nice good looking thin cable, but was either a dud or not compatible for some unknown reason.
I like the 20 ft extension cable from Rode. The sound quality didn't degrade much if at all. I wish they had other lengths like 6 ft or 10 ft. It needs to be coiled up so I don't trip on it or it gets too tangled because it's so long. This is the ONLY reason it didn't get a 5 star review
Sound quality is good. Construction is solid. The cords are too short, however. I would have preferred them to be 5-6 feet, as it would have made shooting video much more practical. You should buy additional cord length, but it's annoying to have to do so.
The Rode smartLav+ Lavalier mic has a 4' cord which is fine for recording close to your laptop or using your smartphone. However, I wanted to be able to stand up a few feet away from the laptop and this necessitated an extension cable for the mic. The Rode SC1 TRRS Extension Cable is the ideal solution for this. As a bonus, the cost of the cable was mostly covered by saving on shipping, making this cable a no-brainer when buying the mic at the same time.
Build quality is very good. But it isnt quite pro quality. Then again neither is the price - so very good value. Very handy feature is built in port for headphones. Overcomes the 1 or the other limitation of a shared mic/phones socket. Though one downside when plugging in second mic is that the additional mic picks up a little more room echo which can reduce clarity & somewhat undo the benefit of being miked up. Also, there is no individual mixing so levels can still be all over the place if used with loud & soft spoken people . That said, if one wanted to go more pro a portable 2 channel mic mixer could easily be added to the setup. That said, would thoroughly recommend to a person needing to do zoom conferences etc in these times of iso & wanting to substantially ... MoreBuild quality is very good. I was expecting a thicker cable, this is very thin. Tangles and requires a very fine touch to use. Rolled it up, and not sure if I'll use it. If your looking for a very light weight, thin cable that you can use, and you have a delicate touch - this is your cable.
