Used this plug (USB C to lightning) to go from Rode Wireless 2 Go to iPhone for in-phone recording of audio/dialog. 100 percent necessary in your setup. It leaves the 3.5 output on the Rode Wireless for headphone monitoring and it's actually better to have your audio going through USB C to lightning.

Works well with iPhone 13 pro you muse update the firmware on the mic using the rode application on your windows or mac otherwise the mic will show message when connecting to your iPhone there is not enough power to use the micBenefits of using the cable instead of the 3.5mm cable:1.you can use dual channels (safety track with lower gain)2.you can use 24bit audio3.you will be able to use the 3.5mm jack for audio monitoring and playback using your head phone

This isn't the most exciting purchase, so there isn't a whole lot to say about its quality other than it does what it should do.However, the ability to feed my RODE Go II directly into my phone is an awesome option! For better livestreaming audio, or a simple off camera recording device... there are tons of applications I am sure I will continue to find. Definitely a great accessory you should add to your gear.

Works perfectly connecting my Rode wireless go 2 to my IPhone. It's good quality and the connectors fit tight. Found you must use this cord to get it to connect to the Rode central app. You can get it to record with the lightning adapter and a TRS to TRRS cable you can't utilize the features that make the Go 2 worth it. As usual B&H is the only spot that keeps these on hand and does not charge a fortune. They have always been there when I needed them.
This item functions perfectly. Very simple and straight forward. Does the job. However, the issue I have with this product is that it serves one purpose... one. I feel like my camera bag is filled with so many wires already, I'm bummed that this wasn't a multipurpose tool.
Hi many people have said this doesn't work with their external mic. I have a cheapie, non electrical Rode mic. When I plugged this in and tried it, it didn't work at all. I was very disappointed and about to send it back. Then later that day I found another cord to the Rode mic by accident. I don't know if it came with my mic or not, but it does say Rode on it, so I assume it came with it at some point. I tried that, and it worked! This one is red at both ends. The other had one red and one black. There is apparently a difference. So, once you figure that out, it will work.
It works as intended. Except for the fact that you cannot use this cord and the Videomic series mics for phone calls. Very strange, as Movo shotgun mics work great for this purpose. In 2023 companies should not be making proprietary device specific cables forcing you to buy them at exaggerated prices.
I purchased this item for Rode Wireless Go II to connect to iPhone. Third-party lightning to USB-C cables doesn't work for Wireless go II to connect to the Rode Central App via iPhone. This SC15 cable is necessary to connect. This cable is needed to connect the rode wireless go II to an iphone the lighting port as a digital connection. Iphone recognized the mic connection immediately and works flawlessly. This is a custom cable from Rode, a regular USB-C to lighting cable will not work. I prefer the digital connection over the analog, it sounds better on the recorded video.
This product works perfectly and allows me to change settings via my phone while on shoot and not connected to a computer. I WANT to dock it a star simply because you can't use most USB-C to lightning cords. You have to buy the Rode cord for it to function correctly. When I first learned that, it was out of stock so I had to wait a month or so before I could utilize that functionality. That's more an issue with Rode as a whole than this product. This works exactly as described and I highly recommend if you are using the Rode wireless Go ll products.
