I use this to help with audio recording for inexpensive commercials and house videos for the web. It does what it says and the audio is good. Only use this for close quarters or if your subject is close. I got it with the Rode microphone and boom pole. A big issue to take into consideration if using this with a boom pole is that this is a 10 ft cord and if your boom pole is 7 ft that only gives you 3 ft to the camera. That does not even take into consideration wrapping your cord around the pole so it does not bang against the pole. If using this with a boom pole I would suggest getting the 25 ft cord. I was told not to get the 25 ft cord because of the audio quality but I have tested it several times and it sounds fine.

I had one of these (although a cheap version, not the Rode) kicking around the house but found there was a lto of interference. There is now no interference! It makes my recordings and broadcasts so much better.

Needed this to extend my Aputure A.Lav to reach my camera mounted Zoom H6 for recording interviews. I also used the Kopul XLR Male to Mini Female Adapter. It works well with much less noise than I was having with radio shack stereo mini cables (radio shack cables would hiss and hum unless I was holding it in my hand just right!). I also use this as an extension for my headphone monitoring.

The cable is well built, it feels strong and it doesn't lead to quality loss of any kind. Exactly what I needed for the gimbal setup to hook the mic into the camera without the short built in cable limiting gimbal movement.
This cable is just what I needed to extend the reach of my Azden SMX-30's mic cable. The SMX-30 has a built-in cable that is only a few inches long which makes it hard to remote mount the mic when making videos. This cable works great and gives all the cord length I need to remote mount the mic when shooting with the Sony A7. I also tested the cable with a Saramonic Vmic Mini and it worked great.
Using as an extension for my headphone, the quality seems very good. It is very long and its springy end reduce stress on my headphone side. The springy end has very good tension and won't easily get tangled like a telephone cord.Despite it is slightly thinner than a Lightning cable, the packaging also mentioned this is a shielded cable with 2 cores, should be good to maintain audio quality through its long length.
I can now really work where the mic goes. I have room to place it anywhere it needs to be or to go! Love it. Quality.
I have been using this as a monitoring cable from my recorder to my headphones. In some orientations, one of the channels cuts out. Haven't done enough testing with it to figure out the real problem. For monitoring, it does the job, but I wouldn't trust it for much else.
I am shooting video with my iPad mini and putting the Rode VideoMic Pro out ahead of the iPad on a boom stand to increase the sound quality. This extension cable does the trick. I was concerned about picking up lots of line noise but so far that hasn't been the case. It's working out really well. I also had to buy the Rode SC4 3.5 TRS to TRRS adaptor to connect the extension cable to the iPad. You won't be able to go directly into your ios device with this cable alone.
This cable is not shielded (at all) and introduces a lot of RF into the mix when using it as an extension for camera-ready mics. I suppose that is to be expected and there there are definitely better methods (like using XLR), but there are similar cables to be had that will work much better, like the Mogami gold. You get what you pay for.
