I just bought my second set and started using two at a time.The built-in microphone has great sound that competes well with the pro lavaliers I use from Sennheiser and Shure.If you are a pro, it can’t do everything you will need, but at this price ($199.00) it is a must get for flexibility.It’s a little tricky to operate the power button on the receiver, but I got used to it. I use it with a Panasonic P2 Camera at work using a 1/8” to XLR adapter and with a personal Panasonic GH4 directly with the included cable It works great on both. I can’t see how anyone would regret having these to use. If you use a go-pro or just use you phone to do social media video posts, this will give you great narrative audio. Although you may need one of the many different Rode adapter cables to match your needs. They cost less than $10.I did purchase a couple sets of shorter (3”) usb-a to usb-c charging cords so I can fit everything into the little black pouch that comes with the set. Keep a little usb charger with you and you’ll always be charged up. These actually last me through a whole day of shooting. Around seven hours is the estimated battery time and my experience reflects that.

Awesome addition to my vlogging setup

I have a very basic setup but this mic enhances it 100 fold. It has clear sound when paired with my Sony ZV1. Battery life is really good for my needs. The twist on wind screen is much better than the previous version. I will say it picks up sound really well. I got ambient conversations picked up by the mic so be aware of the placement. Definitely worth every penny.

Disappointing to say the least

Do you like spending hours charging lavs only to have them lose their charge before you can use them the next day? Do you like constantly having to re-pair your mics? Well, then these are for you. Good sound when you can get them to work, but you're rolling the dice.Absolute waste of time and money.

Good quality wireless mic

I bought the single transmitter without the lavalier mic, only because I didn't want to spend the extra money on the lavalier or the 2nd transmitter. Now I wish I had. They appear to be high quality and my remote Zoom attendees tell me that the sound quality is great. The gain control really helped me get the best sound quality. Another thing I liked was that it was very, very easy to find in-depth guides on YouTube for this popular product.

Great Microphone

I've been using a shotgun mic on my camera for a long time and got this to help cut down on ambient noise overpowering my voice in my audio recordings. Out of the box, the transmitter and receiver come pre-paired, and after charging them up I started trying them out. It works great, the transmitter picks up my voice very well. There are options to fine-tune the gain that, along with adjusting the gain on my camera, have helped me get cleaner audio than I ever had before. The batteries are long-lasting, and I've had no issues.

Rode Wireless GO2 systems are a good size for today's ever shrinking available real estate on cameras.They sound good. The included lavaliere mic is comparable to other mics in it's class.Setup of the units is fairly easy .. you do have to go to rode.com to really access the finer parameters of the receiver.Being a pro sound recordist I have crucial interest on how wireless performs. Having the ability to seamlessly change frequencies and record audio @the receiver is a huge confidence factor when handing something off to someone who has limited tech knowledge of audio.I have not yet tried the range of these, I will post back when I do.Would I use the R0de Wireless GO2 system for a live shot or to follow a high profile celebrity or politician for news coverage for major network clients? Not a chance. I want to work for them again.A Producer needs a simple to use wireless system to shoot standups with a correspondent and man on street interviews why not? They did not want to spend the extra time and dough on including me, I give them an option that should deliver.Are you an event videographer/low budget corporate /commerical /doc shooter and can't afford me? This could be a viable option.

Not really sure

Not yet sure how I like this product as it did not come with the cables to allow us to try it out. Still purchasing cables, several so far, and still unable to make it function. need to purchase yet other cables to see if we can even get to the point of being able to test it. I'd say, buyer beware if you are using an Iphone as your primary recording and video device. You will need more than you think to make it work and R0de does not supply them or have them in stock. Good luck.

Once I got this mic working, it was fine. But it was very very frustrating. At first the batteries would not even charge on the receiver. I checked the Rode website, got nowhere. Then after watching three or four YouTube videos, one person put some thing out telling me to download the Rode app and update the software. By itself I wouldn't mind doing that, but Rode should have definitely put that in the box. I think the main problem I have with this unit is the lack of documentation. But honestly, for me, an audiophle, the sound quality is good, but it is not that good. And I found out that DJI makes a thing just called the DJI mic, and I am sure it is a much better product. Perfect for News Room

I redid my camera setup for work in the newsroom. Instead of a traditional camcorder sized setup I built out my Sony A7iv with the Go ii for my audio. Already the weight cut has been fantastic, the Go II can easily be a lav mic, a stick mic for interviews, and in a breaking news pinch clipped onto a tie or dress top. Less gear to carry around is a plus for being quick.As far as functionality goes, with the app you can do a lot with the setup. The app could be cleaner, but it adds many important features.My only real complaint is the screen could be brighter, but it's still visible in harsh light.

Simple, Clear, Easy

I'm impressed with the simplicity as well as the quality of the RODE GO II. I do wish that the transmitter was a little smaller as it tends to weigh down my collar some. Overall I give this a five out of five stars and would recommend to anyone who needs a wireless mic. The ability to USB to a computer, bypassing computer sound cards is a BIG bonus in my mind.
