I started using this product as well as other Minoxidil products after I lost almost 80% of my hair due to Covid. It does slowly restore your hair and promotes hair growth. However, it is a long process - do not expect over the night miracles. It would take few months. the product NEEDS to be used regularly. However, I used it only once a day (against the recommendation on the box), I did read some research and there is only that much formula you can take, so there is really no need to overdo it. However, consistency is a must. I wouldn't say that it is better than other Minoxidil products, all of them are doing pretty much the same thing, but it is the most famous one that also is marketed under the name Regaine outside of the US.

This stuff definitely works...OVER TIME. Not going to lie: I RARELY used it twice per day, almost always once during the evening. Why? Bc it definitely adds a “film” to your hair, At least it did to my hair anyway ;it definitely gave it a sort of gritty, hairspray-esque feeling to it, and I most certainly didn’t want that texture during the day at work. So my recommendation is to spray it...yes, I said “spray”....my recommendation is to pour each bottle into a small plastic spray bottle of some kind rather than use the product dropper, because if you use the dropper you’re going to end up wasting SO much product or not use enough, and using the dropper is so messy...if you spray it on your hair, trust me, it’s so much easier and you can actually hit the spots that ... MoreThis stuff definitely works...OVER TIME. So I would spray a soft mist (extremely lightly) just on my part in the morning, work the rest of the day,

I had it sitting on my table for a good month before I took the leap. I was very resistant to starting as I know it's a lifelong commitment which I loathe the idea of, and I don't really want to take medication as I prefer the natural approach to things. Honestly though, it has been a game changer. Seven weeks in my hair has thickened up to the point I can barely even see my part line now, and my hair feels thicker all over, though I've mostly only been putting it on my part line. There was some shedding for a few weeks I think (I was seeing hair all over the house rather than clumps in the shower) which was a bit scary, but honestly it wasn't noticeable on my already thin hair and it has totally stopped now. I have also had some pretty unpleasant side effects - insomnia, headaches, tiredness, feeling a bit faint and sick on the odd day - and I know it is being absorbed into my system as I can kind of taste it in my mouth sometimes. These side effects haven't been every day though and they have tapered off a lot now, so hopefully will disappear completely. I try to use a little bit less to counter it which seems helpful. I've also ordered the 2% to see if that causes fewer side effects, but haven't received it yet. Anyway, I've weighed the side effects against the full head of hair and decided I'll go for the hair.I should also say that I've added a biotin shampoo as rogaine doesn't have any DHT inhibitors and it also is supposed to thicken the hair. And I massage my scalp three times a week with lavender, rosemary and peppermint oil (which feels divine) and leave it in a couple of hours or overnight, to help speed things up.I'm only writing this to help women who have found themselves in the same position as me and are wondering if rogaine works, not to promote any particular product. There are many generics out there which I believe are just as good as rogaine. Anyway, if you've had the same experience as me with depressing post menopausal thinning, I would recommend trying the routine I've used and see how you go. I don't know if I need the supplements or not, but the biotin shampoo and rogaine I wouldn't stop using. And the supplements I'll keep taking as they make me feel way more energetic, apart from anything else. Plus I'm not going to risk changing anything!

Excellent product!!
24 March 2023

I love this product and saw results quickly. My hair grows super fast too and I take biotin vitamins and use biotin shampoo and conditioner too. But, it wasn't until I started using this product that I really starting seeing results! My hair has been thinning for years and became really obvious a couple years ago so I used another product and liked the results but not the monthly subscription and fees. So, I thought I'd give Rogaine a try and I am happy I did. My hair is starting to fill back in at the root and I have a lot of new growth around my hairline. I don't care about "fly aways" anymore because it means my hair is growing back lol.

Hair Hair Hair!!!!
6 November 2023

I have hair growing back!!! I am 45 and started menopause about 2 years ago. My hair started falling out about 5 years ago but got really bad a couple years back. I started using Rogaine for women about 4 months ago and I have inches of hair coming up everywhere! I was looking bald on the sides of my forehead and it was very embarrassing. Now I can wear my hair up and not look bald! You don’t know how exciting this is as I didn’t realize how much confidence I lost in losing my hair. I have my self esteem back and feel confident again. Thank you Rogaine for making a product that actually works for women!! ❤️

I was skeptical, but I do notice a difference
6 January 2023

I've been using this for 4 months, and I can definitely tell that my hair has started getting thicker at the front of my hair. When I started using this, I could clearly see my scalp at my widows peak and the sides, and now my hair is definitely thicker there. I have pcos, and my hair was getting thinner and thinner at the front, so I decided to give this a try but didn't have any expectations of getting my hair back. Imagine my surprise when I just noticed that I can see less scalp after 4 months of trying this serum! I was extremely skeptical that this would work, so I am so happy that I can see a difference in my hairline!

Not Impressed
25 January 2023

I’ve been following usage instructions to insure this product does not “melt.” Unfortunately, I don’t think this product works for me. When using Rogain in the past, my scalp would tingle after a few days of use. I’ve not felt this tingling since using the foam, but will continue to use until the bottle is empty. I’ll also update my review if I get positive results. I gave two ⭐️ ⭐️ because the foam residue that accidentally gets on my hair seems to give my hair a little lift.

I have been using this product for years, but stopped 3 years ago, because I couldn't afford it anymore, and then decided to go back. The product it does work if you use it regularly. Once you stop, the hair you grew will fall back in about 4 months. Of course you wont get a head full of hair, but definitely you will see new hair growing by the 2nd or 3rd week of using it. It is my case, but we are all different. Now, this new purchase to my surprise is being of a great disappoinment.First, I noticed the can has shrunk by more than 1/4% of its original size. That's the first thing I noticed when opened the box.Second, the company states this new can will supply you for 2 months. Who are they lying to ? The older can, yes; this smaller one doesn't. That's the first thing I noticed when opened the box.Second, the company states this new can will supply you for 2 months. Who are they lying to ? The older can, yes; this smaller one doesn't. So I feel it's deceiving to lie to customers like that. If you have a very small area to care for, probably it will last, but I doubt it.Third, the can shrinked, but the price more then doubled. I was able to buy a two can box for about $45.00, ( a honest true two month supply), and now it's $35.00 for one can.Fourth, the product has been downgraded, and I did notice right away! The major reason I buy this brand over cheaper ones ( even though they have the same ingredient ) , it's because the texture quality of the foam. It "was" more creamy like and it didn't dissolve too soon. I was able to work it out throughout my scalp without the oily mess and it didn't run; now it does. This new formula, once I apply it, the foam dissolves so fast that if I'm not fast enough the liquid will get into my eyes and that's a problem this product didn't have before. If it weren't an inconvenience to me, I would've bought the liquid formula, not the foam one.It is a great product, don't take me wrong, because it does work and fits it's purpose. But, will I buy it again ? Probably not. If I have to deal with a higher price, smaller size, and lost of quality, I better save me my hard working money and buy a cheaper product with the same 5% minoxidil for women ingredient, that will provide the same benefit, with the same shortcomings I was trying to avoid in the first place, making me buy this pricey one for its convenience, but that got downgraded down the years, ended up doing just the same as the cheaper ones.

As a busy medical transcriptionist working many hours of overtime from home, I rarely took time to look in the mirror. I put my long hair up to keep it out of the way and that was the extent of my "primping." Somehow one day I saw that I was actually going bald in the area of my part, so much so that my scalp was shiny. I've since used Rogaine over a period of many years off and on, depending on whether I could afford it, and concentrated treatment in that area. I still don't spend much time in front of the mirror, but I recently realized that the hair in the treated area on the left side is much thicker than the right side, so now I need to apply it more evenly. The only problem is that there is in the area where I first noticed the problem, the hair grows out in ... MoreAs a busy medical transcriptionist working many hours of overtime from home, I rarely took time to look in the mirror. Perhaps if I had used Rogaine sooner or more consistently, I might not have that issue.
