I am using this product mostly for portrait photography. I like that this lens pretty good and light, auto focus is working fast enough. Only thing I don't like it's boxing , and there doesn't have lens size information for buy UV filter for this lens.

I liked the lens, wanted to love it but came away mildly frustrated. The lens is sharp, and the bokeh is smooth with great looking falloff. The problem was getting it to focus, most of the time it would hit the eye perfectly, other times it would hunt around pulsing like the sony 50 1.8 did in low light. It happened in all lighting conditions and distances regardless of eye autofocus being used or spot focus with the joystick on my a7riii. The reviews I watched showed the lens focus noise to be barely perceptible, but the copy I had was noisy. I was planning to rent the Sigma 85 but it wouldn't arrive in time, so I rented this, in the end I was wishing I had grabbed the Sony 85 1.8 for some tracked photos. The rokinon is great for still photos, but if you are going to track someone be prepared to have less than half of the images sharp, and sometimes static images would show the eye being in focus but after checking in camera the whole photo was out of focus. I hope this is a firmware issue because it's a great lens optically. It definitely has some focus inconsistencies.
