My only regret in life was selling my Juno-106 many years ago. The Juno-X has given me back that awesome sound and much more. If you’re worried that it’s digital stop worrying! This keyboard is The One!! Roland has nailed it😁

As someone who already owns a bunch of analog synths, this is an awesome addition to my collection. It can do the Juno thing, obviously, but the other models and being able to stack 4 independent patches of any model is what makes the Juno-X a real monster. Admittedly, it was a little hard to understand at first compared to my other synths, but once you understand that a "scene" is a group of 4 layers (5 with drums), it all clicks. You'll probs be designing scene patches by day 2, or sooner if you're a smarty pants! The keys themselves are slightly smaller than standard size, which I actually love. They feel quality - responsive and have just the right amount of resistance to facilitate smooth velocity. Better than some Fatar beds to me. Aftertouch is hard but can ... Aftertouch is hard but can be adjusted, and I'd rather a stiff feel than have it send constant aftertouch midi messages.SL1 and SL2 being global attack and release for all 4 parts is a very welcome default assignment. Having decent built-in piano sounds, quality drums, intuitive controls, and a vocoder make this my immediate pick for most jamming situations. Idk how much I'll realistically use I-arpeggio for work purposes, but it sure is fun!Love it < 3

It is really a unique keyboard. I haven't quite figured how directly access particular sound without going through everything. I have also a Roland Fantom 6 that is also capable of producing 99 percent of Juno X sounds however Juno X is amazing. Juno X is not for beginners.. lots of learning just like Roland JDXA

Not had much time to play yet but just noodling with presets has inspired some writing. Several of the presets I've gone ooo I like that. Looking forward to doing some sound design with the tone generation parts. Haven't connected it to anything yet. Documentation could be better. Hello Google search and utube...
Juno x needs no introduction the sound is prestine the synth is beautiful and inspiring to look at the key action is good overall a top quality synth
It is so much more than the sum of its parts. It has become a creative partner in the songwriting experience. In many ways it is like the Juno’s of old, however it has a new depth of sound and function which very much makes the Juno X a very modern machine. I’m Very very happy to the point of declaring love for this synth, top of the class Roland 🫡🙏
I have been using Roland synthesizer since the 1980s. I am a hard to convince consumer when it comes to analog modeling and this one is probably some of the best I've heard from Roland. The ability to stack all of your different synthesizer models on top of one another is amazing. it's very convincing and is just gorgeous sounding. The keyboard feels good and the flow is incredible with all of the polyphony it sounds huge!
If you love the Juno series, this has all of them and yes it sounds just like the old ones. Its buit tough, the action is great. Building your own sounds is very adictive, easy and once get used to the layout and menus its easy. I love all the customisable buttons and sliders on the left. The knobs and sliders are silky smooth and tough. The sounds are very lush and full, the effects are good, but not perfect, the reverb is basic, but its smooth. The delay is very nice and so is the drive. It was easy to update the firmware all you need is a thumb drive. If you want that Juno sound and dont want to risk getting an original, this will do nicely.
It blows my mind how roland were able to get such an authentic JUNO-esque sound and feel out of this unit. Programming is intuitive and incredibly simple via the controls on the front panel, although deeper edits will be easier through the juno-x editor (which is free, im looking at you sequential). If you are going to menu-dive, it's not the worst I've seen, and everything is laid out simply and easy to read. The sounds this thing can produce have left me speechless time and again. The Juno-106 emulation is spot on, as well as the juno-60. The new Juno-X engine might be my favorite, and could very easily become a modern classic. This thing just sings in a way that's hard to articulate unless you're sitting down and playing it. The only negative I'd have to say ... This thing just sings in a way that's hard to articulate unless you're sitting down and playing it. The only negative I'd have to say regarding sound Is the onboard speakers, they're quite weak and I would've rather had roland forget the speakers and lower the price by a hundred or so bucks. The build quality is outstanding, with the only obvious plastic components being the side panels, keys, and faders (which are incredibly smooth). There is wobble on the faders, but no more than would be normal on a unit of this price. The keys are excellent, and are a breeze to play.As for how this thing compares to the originals, don't even try. I wholeheartedly believe this has made vintage 106's obsolete. As of June 2022, a vintage 106 in good condition will cost you about as much as the juno-x, and maybe even more. To me this is a no-brainer.Ignore the analog hipsters, if you want the juno build, sound, or experience, this is the way to go.
