Disappointed with the product. This is the first Roudtop product I have ever had s problem with. I was very surprised. Roundup products have always been an effective weed killer for me. The Poison Ivy did not all die completely. Also, it did not kill other weeds associated with the Ivy. Perhaps there was a mistake at the factory, and the water content was too high thus weakening the active ingredients.

I’m in my 2nd year now dealing with poison oak in my back yard. I used to have a beautiful backyard with grass to the fence but I wanted to spot treat the poison oak and knew some grass would be sacrificed. When I saw the Roundup Product that was specific to poison ivy and brush, I thought maybe is was specially formulated - but after using it, I don’t think it’s specially formulated. It would kill off most of what it touched EXCEPT the poison oak. It will take care of it for a while but then it just bounces back. I was quite generous with the spray and even reapplied multiple times hoping it will eventually eradicate the poison oak but it just keeps coming back. I wish my beautiful lawn would grow back.My next step is to try and pull the plants out and try to not ... MoreI’m in my 2nd year now dealing with poison oak in my back yard. So my review of this product is that it will knock it down, but it won’t truly eradicate poison oak like it makes you think.

ProsIt does workConsIt works SlowlyI got this because I have a number of vines in my yard that have gotten so back I lost my hedges. I thought they were pretty flowers, I didn't realize they were killing everything under them. I tried to ben environmentally friendly. I made up a salt and dish soap mix and coated the plants. They were covered in white crystals, but it didn't stop them.So I had to go with a chemical. This seems to be working but I will tell you BE PATIENT. It took a week just to see some brown, then it went pretty quickly from there.

Leave this product in the store. Use a regular home remedy like boiling water over the plant or spraying homemade weed killer: Add 1 cup of salt, 1 tablespoon of dish soap and 1 tablespoon of vinegar into a gallon of water. Ace hardware doesn't care.
The percentage of the active ingredient is less than other products. I used the product to wage war on the poison ivy that was creeping into my yard. Spraying this onto the leaves on a dry sunny day only made the leaves wilt a little. I ended up pulling the vines out of the ground and spraying the ground. This did work well on brush near the roadside. This did not do as expected on the pesky and tough to kill poison ivy. I did not want to keep hitting the poison ivy because of worry on the impact on the surrounding trees.
I used this on my fence line where other methods seemed to make the ivy grow rampantly. Fantastic results after 2 weeks—see photo*. (It may have been dead sooner, but we were out of town)The battery operated sprayer was very comfortable in the hand & easy to control. Well worth the price, but I will buy the Concentrate next & refill my container or tank sprayer for the next project where we have 4’ tall bushes of Poison Ivy.*The dead grass in photo is due to lack of water, not Roundup overspray.
Everything is blooming, pollen is everywhere and weeds along with Poison Ivy need to be put in their place. At least for me, Poison Ivy isn't an easy rid, and it hides under the leaves, weeds, bushes, plants and even grows on trees in vines. One application does not get 100%. For me that's a problem.I was sent the Roundup ready to use Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Kill with Comfort Wand, to see if it could do, what I've tried to do for years, especially since standing, walking and sitting in my disabilities.I realize their will never be a permanent fix for weeds, tough brush and Poison Ivy, so this will last just one season.I've applied it over many days, since I can't walk and stand long without needing to sit down, and using a cane along with carrying this ... MoreEverything is blooming, pollen is everywhere and weeds along with Poison Ivy need to be put in their place. At least for me, Poison Ivy isn't an easy rid, and it hides under the leaves, weeds, bushes, plants and even grows on trees in vines. Just prioritize Poison Ivy.
I went through so many weed killers: some that were for weeds and grass, some for weeds and not your lawn, some extended control. None of them worked. This tough shrubs and poison ivy spray will kill the weeds. I don't have shrubs or poison ivy, but the areas I treated with this don't have crabgrass, or clover or some of the other pesky weeds I haven't been able to kill. I will stay with it until it doesn't work anymore. Next step after that is gas and a match.
When we first moved here into an Oak forest, Poison Oak was rampant. With toddler boys and my desire for them to live where they could climb trees and throw stones, I panicked when I realized we had a serious Poison Oak infestation. Vines as thick as my forearm climbed many big oaks and would spread on the ground seemingly everywhere. Hacking a chunk out of those climbing vines was the first step. Many of those vines were easily forty feet long! From there, the Roundup began. It took a year or two to hack and spray these rugged vines under control, and I never want that scene again. Each spring, including now, I retrace every path, every corner, paying special attention at the bases of the trees to search out leaves of three on a sprig of a vine. When I find one, I lay on a generous spritz from the battery powered spray wand, and that's it. I'll repeat the search again mid-summer to nab the later creeps.A gallon of Roundup Ready-To-Use Poison Ivy Plus will now last several years, so I stow it in a sheltered shed for the next spring Roundup. This stuff really, really works. Normal weed killer will not hack poison oak.
When I moved into a new place I found the back yard was infested with poison ivy. So much so that I decided to nuke the entire back yard and start over. This Roundup works on poison ivy, grass, and anything else in the way. It takes a few days to kick in and everything starts turning brown. After about a week it's dead enough to just pull out of the ground or use a cultivator without a struggle. It works exactly where you spray it! As you can see in the pictures, I didn't do the best job of spraying the entire area and had lines of green. Go slow, and have pattern to ensure maximum coverage. I was able to spray an area roughly 30' by 15'. The sprayer worked fine the entire time. I filled up the empty container with the concentrated blend and the sprayer worked on ... MoreWhen I moved into a new place I found the back yard was infested with poison ivy.
