I love this food my 17 year old cat, enjoys it its low in phosphorus, and not chicken based. Which is fantastic if u have a cat with a chicken allergy. My sweetpea has kidney issues and hyperthyroidism, she hates the kidney diets but this is by far the best stand in for managing kidney issues, and she loves it. Also the biscuits are preferred by our older male cats. The price is great for the quantities we go through

Firstly, I wonder why RC have changed the "cushion"-shaped dry food to little round things. Agreed, my cats eat it, but they don't chew the new ones, just swallow them down. Healthy teeth, helped by chewing dry food are essential to all cats, young and old. I am not impressed by this revised RC product, esp. as I cannot buy 2kg, any more, only 4kg. Bit sneaky of RC, I'd say.

My Pugwash is 19 years old this June and she loves this food. I bash the chunks down into a pulp with hot water from the kettle and she laps it up. Before I strated bashing down the chinks, she used to leave the chunks behind and lick the sauce - now she eats everything. Since her kidneys are failing she needs all the nutrition - including water - she can get so this is ideal for her.

I have 3 cats. 2 of which need to be on a lighter food and this really does the job. Although they all love the food the 2 that need there weight managed are doing really well on it. Both have lost a bit of weight and now are stable and doing great. The third cat loves the food too although he gets supplemented with another Royal Canin to help his weight stay a bit higher. Happily recommmend this to anyone.
Our ageing cat has unfortunately had quite a few teeth extracted over the years, so finds eating dry food a challenge. She doesn't enjoy wet food, even the premium high meat content varieties costing around £1 per pouch. This food however she thoroughly enjoys, with the crispy outer coating easily breaking up in her mouth. It smells great, and having tasted it myself, can confirm it has a palatable savoury flavour. This food is definitely worth a try if your older cat finds it difficult to chew and/or finds alternative foods bland or unappealing.
I have 2 elderly cats and both have gone off of their food so i thought i would try these biscuits, they are a little bigger than the dreamie squares. Both cats seemed to enjoy them and they seem to eat them every other day. I wouldn't recommend these biscuits if your cat has difficulty with chewing. Also they are expensive for 400g.
My cat loves this food. Despite trying to change up the variety of food he eats, it's the Royal Canin Ageing 12 plus gravy he enjoys the most. I feel by giving him this food, the lower fat content is healthier for him. His general health and condition of his coat is testament to this nutritious food.
Both my cats are 13 years of age and since they have been eating this Seniors food they are chasing each other around the house and across the yard, leaping onto fences like young cats. I like the fact this food contains EPA/DHA fatty acids for joint health. Prevention being better than cure I am hoping to prevent arthritis as they get older.
I needed to find something extra tasty for my elderly cat (14), because she has been given medication and I really wanted to avoid poking tablets down her throat. She usually prefers dry food, but I thought I'd try mixing her medication in this because the reviews confirm that it is extremely palatable. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my cat went absolutely nuts when she got a whiff of the food and enthusiastically licks the bowl clean everytime, even with the powder mixed in!!
Moved our cats into Royal cabin when we brought our 14 year old senior lady home - tremendously better than the Felix she had been eating! We give this to both our cats (1 is 2yr and the other 14yr) and they love it - our senior lady comes running at the mere suggestion she may get an extra sachet!Checked with our vets that it was suitable for the younger cat and got the full sign off - has all the same nutritional benefit as regular royal canin adult but with some additional ingredients obvs for the older cats to get extra support so that was a big factor in the decisionDefinitely recommend!
