We recently brought home a 12 week old puppy and he was on the French Bulldog puppy food. I started him out in this, but when I realized it was only sold in 3 pound bags for $24.99 I decided to try and switch to a human grade puppy dog food. I tried doing the switch slowly like recommended, but his stomach couldn’t handle it. I am now back on the puppy French Bulldog food. The 3 pound bag barely lasts 7 days. Totally ridiculous for Royal Canin not to sell larger bags. I am only feeding him this because I love my puppy and don’t want his stomach to be upset. But as far as Royal Canin as a company, I have nothing nice to say. The ONLY reason it isn’t being sold in bigger bags is to charge a fortune. My other dog is on a vet prescription diet from Royal Canin which I can get in a 24 pound bag.

I was told by my breeder when I first got my Frenchie to buy this. At first glance seeing it’s for French bulldog puppy I didn’t think of anything I thought this must be good for them right . First off these SMALL bag are 3lb and cost $26. If you feed your puppy 3 time a day you will run out ever 2 week or less and it will very expensive. There reason they don’t make French bull puppy in large size because they know you will pay anything for expensive French bull dog. After couple bags I noticed that my Frenchie would always throw up his food a lot and he’s poop would always be wet Diarrhea sorry tmi so I don’t some research online and read a lot people had the same issue with price, size , quality of food. I look at the ingredients and seen that first two ingredients Brewers Rice, Chicken By-Product Meal (fake chicken) why use fake chicken because they are cheap. I know feed my puppy orijen amazing grain puppy food compare the ingredients you will be baffled on better it is for a champion. Orijen still pricey like Royal canin but quality of food is 100% worth it and better for dog. You also can get 22lb bag that will last 3-5 months so in reality it a lot cheaper just say if you buy RC 3lb for 3 month you are paying $340 compared to Orijen 22.5 for 3 month or longer you paying $96

My french bulldog was ok weinwrights, they changed Ingredients that now does not suit him. As a side affect he had very loose stalls and would go for a poo 5/6 times a day. After reading the reviews for royal canin i decided to change him. Wow what a difference. Biscuits smell so meaty, quite moist. He loves them!! Stools have gone to 'normal' dog poo and only poos 2 times a day! So happy, and have a happy boy!! Would recommend royal canin all the way, just wish I had him on it sooner!!

Good but bag to small so I switched early
19 September 2022

This was good while it lasted only a short amount of time and I did try other food and my mini Frenchie really likes this one the best, but the size of bag like many people are saying is too small and not enough. it should deserve 5 stars but I see they aren't responding about the bag size and being in business myself I know the reason for this is that they are making more money off the food by only having a small bag available. so yeah for loyal customers they should at least respond if not help out with a larger size bag if they cared about the customers and not only the money which I get is the reason why they're in business but come on your already established and making good enough money to be able to help out the customers that are asking and requesting over ... MoreThis was good while it lasted only a short amount of time and I did try other food and my mini Frenchie really likes this one the best, but the size of bag like many people are saying is too small and not enough. it should deserve 5 stars but I see they aren't responding about the bag size and being in business myself I know the reason for this is that they are making more money off the food by only having a small bag available. so yeah for loyal customers they should at least respond if not help out with a larger size bag if they cared about the customers and not only the money which I get is the reason why they're in business but come on your already established and making good enough money to be able to help out the customers that are asking and requesting over and over. it wont loose you any money but you may ntake a small cut on profit for a while but hey you might have a lot of people switch as well so you never know if you dont try because it may be a great decision business wise as well.

Great Choice! BUT small bag.
18 February 2023

My Frenchie just turned 6mo. I love this brand. We've tried others when we first started out but they didn't sit well with his stomach. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. The ONLY con which is why I gave it 4 stars is the bag size. He goes through 1 bag per week. He's not overfed, the bag is just small for the price. So if you don't mind purchasing every week, it's definitely a great product.

Great Food Skin Much Better
11 April 2023

We have a 10 year old bulldog which we have had on AVA Bulldog food for ages now. He does suffer with the usual Bulldog alergies and is on usual medication for this. Over the last six months we had noitced that his skin flair ups had become worse and have had quite a few trips to the vet over this being perscribed various oils and creams which have controlled it. Last week we went to Pets at Home. We couldn't buy AVA as there was none in stock so Brought Royal Canin Bulldog. He has been on this for 1 full week now and the reults are amazing. His skin redness has subsided and coat feels so much softer. We are so happy as he feels so much happier. Although a little more expensive we will be sticking with Royal Canin from now on.

Offer larger bags!
12 May 2023

I have a 4 month old French bulldog puppy and he loves this stuff. I’ve done my research and I know that right now this is the best puppy food choice for him. I’m giving this 3 stars instead of 5 because it’s kind of ridiculous that based on his caloric and nutritional needs we are going through one bag every week due to only being able to purchase 3lbs bags with no alternatives. Meanwhile the adult food comes in 17lbs bags. It’s kind of a financial strain to be spending about $120 on this kibble every month.

THE ONLY WAY TO FEED
2 May 2023

I have two Frenchie pups. I switched from another well know brand of puppy food which the breeder recommended. However, I noticed some conditions developing with them so I decided to switch to Royal Canin puppy especially for French Bulldogs. What a difference this food has made.1. no gobbling and not chewing their food2. less stool production (twice per day now before they would go 4-5 times)3. itching is less4. sleeping the night through to not have to go,,,5. much calmer pups

Very expensive and low quality
24 October 2022

I wanted to find the best food for my 2 new Rotty babies. Google says Royal Canin is the best. They are wrong! I just spent over $100 on GMO corn & wheat and chicken bi product. Very disappointed and threw away over $100 even though I tried to do my homework. Don't make the same mistake I did. Read the ingredients before buying your babies food. Royal Canin should be ashamed of their ingredients for the price they charge.
