I'm not a fan of Royal Canin and this does contain maize which I'm not happy about.On the other hand my dog lost over 7 kilos in 4 months = 25% of his obese body weight. The weight gain arose due to an injury and confinement whilst he healed.I now give just a little top-up of Royal Canin Satiety on a regular basis to his normal food so that he feels really full but keeps trim. Overall all this works not only in losing weight but also in keeping weight under control for dogs who need to feel their tums are very full. I soak for 25 minutes in boiling water first, as I do with all dry kibble, and this makes it all swell which also helps digestion etc and removes the possibility of life threatening bloat which any kibble can cause.

My elderly black Labrador has been having trouble with mobility in his hips for a while now. Good product. My dog is a very greedy labrador so has good alittle excess weight. This food has helped him lose abit of weight as its filling him up more, not begging so much now. He manages to go longer between mealtimes now. Such a good result.
Both my JRs love this food even as a treat when we are out for a walk. My little girl needs to loose weight so Vet suggested this as an aid. Always purchase via Pet drugs on line ordered with their spot on flea treatment gives me free postage and packing. Win Win for everyone.
Basically it's the diet recommended by our vets I find she will eat other dried foods with no adverse effects. But we found this site wich is half the price vets will charge you therefore I will continue to buy from this company.

Horrified to learn this must be used within 6-8 weeks after opening! Dog likes it so ordered bigger size for better value, had to return as dog will not eat this much in the time limit. Food motivated dog but refused to eat this after 7 weeks, stored in cool, dark, airtight conditions. Too expensive to waste. Very disappointed.
