I was so surprised by this box of mochi just because on the package it looks like there was only going to be 6 in here. But there are 15 little mochi pieces. 3 different flavors, peanut butter, red bean, and sesame. All very distinguished flavors which I liked because my cravings change every day. The mochi is very soft and chewy and the filling is soft and gooey. I say each mochi take about 2 bites to finish. And for the price of $8.95, it's worth it. Overall, amazing snack and I would totally buy it again!
Seeing as this was my first try of Japanese Mochi, I didn't quite know what to expect. From what I've gathered, one row was full of peanut butter and the others, a variety of crushed sesame seeds. Not something I'm used to seeing but probably wouldn't buy again. They're an odd texture and taste, but definitely something to try for yourself.
I have had better quality mochi. I enjoy mochi but these missed the mark for me. There are 8 mochi per bag, they are small and individually wrapped. They didn't have the nicest flavour or texture and the filling for the green tea was lumpy.
Tasted great, I really liked the peanut butter ones in particular. The only reason this is 3 stars and not 5 is because the box I received was 2 months past it’s expiration date. Mochi was still good and nothing was spoiled, but it still gave me pause.
