I loved this jacket in "Blossom" on my pepper and salt 45lb Standard Schnauzer, Roxy, but was too big. It's gorgeous on her and she definitely feels fancy wearing it! Unfortunately I have to return it and get the small which is now out of stock :-( . I hope it's back in stock soon as we're in central FL so not many cold days but definitely needed when she's recently groomed. Bummed she didn't get to wear it. Also got the Fernie jacket in the berry color and have to send that back too. After discussing with Ruff's customer service rep we thought the medium would be best since it's supposed to be a snug fit. She's a deep-chested breed and we have trouble finding sweaters, etc, to fit right. The zipper is perfect where it is located.I bought the medium based on her chest girth which is 27.5" and her neck to tail measures about 19.5". Overall, I'd say it was like a relaxed fit on her, which would've worked if it didn't hang over her ****. It was a close call on size since the sizing instructions say to go by chest girth. I didn't notice if the jacket specifies dimensions when I ordered. That would be a help if it's not noted.I'll add photos after I get the small...

The ease of putting these fleece jackets on for walks and the fact that they stay on (no velcro coming apart) is the best. Plus it covers all around including their underbelly so I know my Viszla, and two rescue dogs (Rat Terrier mix and Chihuahua mix) are warm enough for the daily walks in Vermont. Plus the Terrier mix is uniquely long but with shorter legs and this covers him nicely. I have bought many different dog jackets over the years but this one hits all the marks at a reasonable price.

I got this super cool jacket for me dog so not only could he twin with me and my other dogs, but so he could play in the snow or have a comfortable walk on cooler evenings. As it turns out, we hit Lake Arrowhead and one of their more dramatic storms. So much fun (except for the sliding car and loss of power parts)! This jacket is light and easy to put on - fits easily under his harness - I have the Ruffwear webmaster. The big plus is it keeps my pups warm and dry in grand style. You should buy one now.For reference. I have a English Springer Spaniel ~40 pounds (my previous ESS wore the same - and he got to about 50) and wears Small. My 25 pound Boykin Spaniel wears an XS.

I bought this for my spanish greyhound. Although he's narrow in the back, he has a broad chest. The large accommodates his chest and covers the full length of his back up to his tail. It's soft and sporty. The short sleeves allow for mobility. It's super easy to put on with the short arm sleeves and the zippered side. Really like the fur guard on the zipper, too. I love this vest for the warmth it provides and the ease of getting it on/off. Plus my dog's brindle coat looks really handsome in the burnt orange color!
I've been a dog owner for 20+years, but have always had Labs with thick double fur coats who didn't mind the cold. Recently I started fostering a boxer/pit bull mix with a very short coat. I learned quickly that he was not a fan of our cold Chicago winters. Poor guy was shivering even indoors. I've purchased Ruffwear products before & have found them to be if superior quality & construction. So glad I bought this Climate Changer fleece jacket for my foster. We both love it! He rolls on his back when I try to take it off, which I think is his way of saying he wants to keep it on. I figure if it's cold enough for ME to put on a sweater, why shouldn't he have one too?! I wasn't sure about the Canyonlands orange color but I was pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure about the Canyonlands orange color but I was pleasantly surprised! It's very nice looking. Ralph is 70 pounds & very muscular & fits perfectly in a medium. I followed the sizing guide & ordered based on his girth measurement. I love that this jacket has sleeves, full core coverage & a long, heavy duty zipper down the side. Highly recommend this jacket for short haired dogs.
Climate Changer is a slightly narrower fit across the chest for my Doberman mix. It also has longer sleeves which has meant I need to be watchful of my dog getting rub marks if he wears his jacket too long. The material is a nice fleece/sweatshirt material. I also love the reflective strips included in this model.
I asked my Mom to order this for me to wear as an outdoor garment over my Climate Change Pullover. The flower pattern and colours in this fleece match my personality. It fits looser than the Pullover (which I wear 24/7 as a snug dress to warm and support my aging bones) so this zip-up pullover is perfect as an outer garment when I go snowshoe'ing or when I go with the family on trips to town.Thank you, Ruffwear!! I have been wearing Ruffwear products for many years! The shipping and receipt of the product was quite prompt!! I'll be bugging Mom to order MORE for me!!
There's no doubt Ruffwear makes the best technical products for dogs. This fleece is exactly what Soji needed for cool morning walks with temps in the 40s and 50s. She's a lab mix and her hair is not long, and she was recently spayed before we adopted her so the hair on her tummy has not grown in yet. This fleece is easy to get on. I put the feet in first and bring up the sweater over her back, then zip it. I like the two reflective strips on the sides. They add visibility for Soji. I only have one little complaint. The zipper is pulling away from the fabric. I can easily sew this back, but after one month I shouldn't have to. Maybe we have been too hard on this fleece. It has been through mud and water in the ditches, and it washes to look like new. Size M is ... MoreThere's no doubt Ruffwear makes the best technical products for dogs. I bought this fleece to go under my dog’s winter coat and he now seems much warmer in below freezing temperatures. The thin pull-over fleece I was using previously just wasn’t an adequate base layer, even for short walks, and before I began using the Climate Changer Fleece my dog would sometimes start shivering and look miserable..The Climate Changer has a nice snug fit on my dachshund/beagle mix everywhere except around his front legs, where it’s a bit baggy, but at least the jacket sleeves are not chafing his legs.Initially, my dog was confused about how to get his legs in the sleeves and I do think this design would be a bit of a challenge for a wiggly, not-accustomed-to-clothes dog. It’s easy to play the “put your one paw in, put your one paw out” game with ... MoreI bought this fleece to go under my dog’s winter coat and he now seems much warmer in below freezing temperatures. Brekkie’s an Australian Cobberdog. Thanks to his mom’s inattention (that would be moi), mat removal ineptitude, and lack of comb-handling abilities, he had to get ALL his hair shaved off in the middle of deepest winter. 20 below and a bit chilly indoors. Pitiful, too. Could he have a worse mom?At any rate, he needed something to wear indoors until he is re-haired. What to do, what to do….?Brekkie is a RuffWear-exclusively dog, so I got his usual size (S) in this fleecy number (Climate Changer), knowing it would fit him perfectly in about 4 months. In his current state, they’re baggy, comfy, PJ’s! He lives in them.Dang, I don’t get to post a photo?
