I'm the one who tries everything in search of the best quality, safety and comfort. this collar is light weight, but also strong and sturdy, the hooks or latches are easy to use and smooth. overall, i trust this collar. i also am so happy to have found a wide 1" collar for my 17 lb dog.... it just seems to fit better than the narrow collars, when a dog pulls, less impact on the neck. i literally searched everywhere for this and finally found it. thank you!

This is the second Front Range collar I have purchased for my 7 year old female Dalmatian. She had the 1st Front Range collar for 5 plus years. It is still fully functional but faded from its original color. She is a super dog so I felt she deserved a new collar. My guess is this collar will serve her as long as she needs it. Front range collars are superior in everyway. Easy on, easy off but strong in everyway. My girl is 60 pounds so to say this is a superior collar is saying something.

I love these collars. We have 4 dogs and they each have a different color. The color doesn't fade. They are durable. My dogs (labs and vizslas) put them to the test. I really like that the tags go off to the side and have the quiet piece that I can put between their tags. The colors are beautiful, bright and there are several to choose from (except a dandelion yellow) Pair them with the harness and leash and my dogs look bougie without breaking the bank.

My staffy has worn this for over two years now and it's only just now starting to look a bit worn, that's after putting it in the washing machine a few times after its gotten very mucky.I use a flat ID tag so dont need to use the ID attachment, but I did use it for the first year or so and never had any trouble with it. I can't work out what the other reviewers issue is with it being sharp edged as its just a small plastic attachment. The collar is easy to adjust to be tighter or looser and typically holds its size well. I readjust every few months as it inevitably gets loose - i mostly walk using a harness (from the same brand) but her daycare use leads on the collar and its not been any trouble. All in all, I highly recommend this. I wish Pets at Home did more of ... We have been enjoying our collars for about a month and then one dog lost all of their tags at the dog park (causing us to have the call the city to replace their license etc). When I examined the other one’s collar a few days later I saw that the metal is bent out of shape at the opening like it is ready to undo from the plastic piece that connects it to the collar. I think the a traditional o shaped ring would do better since what has caught and bent is probably meant to make it easier to open and add your tags. We do like the silicone silencer and have had a great experience with their customer service team in the past.
I love the Ruffwear Front Range Dog Collar! The padded inner lining ensures comfort, and it’s easy to adjust for a secure fit. The bright color options are great for visibility, and the silicone silencer on the ID tag is a nice touch. The strong V-ring leash attachment gives me peace of mind, even when my dog pulls hard. It’s a bit pricier, but the quality and thoughtful design make it well worth it. Highly recommend!
I have a 5 month old Aussie and I have a small front range harness that I really like. So I purchased the size medium harness, the medium size collar and the leash for when our Aussie is adult size. The collar seems a nice weight and well made. It appears that it will be a comfortable collar, and it’s attractive. I think the collar will fit our Aussie in about a month or so. Overall I’m very impressed with the Ruffwear gear. The attachment rings on the collar and harness are excellent. I live in Alaska, so for winter use I don’t like a harness with metal components that are in contact with the dog, as that can get cold to the touch. The front range harness and collar fit our needs perfectly, comfortable for the dog and very well made..
I picked up a generic collar from a local store before I adopted my dog, but I wanted to get something higher quality and more custom to him. The price of the front range collar was great and I liked that the tags were held separately from the leash loop. The Tumalo Teal looks perfect on him and somehow the collar always situates so that the tags hang on the side, keeping the whole thing more low-profile. Now I just have to keep myself from getting a (second) front range harness to match!
This collar has it all. I love the leash attachment. It’s a nice chunk that’s easy to feel under a dog’s long neck hair, and it’s separate from the tag attachment, so it’s not possible to accidentally attach the leash to a flimsy tag ring (which I’ve done before w/ another collar), meaning that the leash has a positively secure attachment, should your dog unexpectedly bolt. NOT having a separate tag attachment is now a deal breaker for me. The Front Range collar is perfect for my dog and me. It feels solid, is easy on and off, easily adjusted, and cleaned. Thanks, Ruffwear!
We love these collars! They are lightweight, which doesn’t irritate the pups. I love the separate ID tag ring because I can throw the collar in the front loading washer when it’s gets dirty and can remove the tags without a hassle. I also like the tag silencer for when walking and running. These collars last us a long time. In fact, I only buy new ones to add more colors to the collection, not because they’re worn out.
