Just like you, if the weather turns cold enough, your dog may need a little help staying warm. The puffy, insulated Ruff Wear Quinzee Jacket provides your four-legged friend with weather-resistant warmth for extreme cold so there's no need to hide inside all winter long. Reducing the loss of core body heat, the jacket utilizes lofty recycled synthetic insulation to ensure your dog's warmth. The 75D bluesign-approved polyester outer shell is abrasion- and snag-resistant and a 30D polyester lining provides next-to-skin comfort. Side release buckles make the jacket easy to put on and take off and integrated gussets at the chest use a blend of nylon/spandex to create stretch for a comfortable fit. Other features include a leash portal that enables the jacket to be worn over a harness, reflective trim for enhanced low light visibility, an attachment loop for Ruff Wear's The Beacon safety light (light sold separately). An integrated stuff sack lets you stow the jacket when not in use. The Ruff Wear Quinzee Jacket is available in your choice of color options and a wide range of sizes. See the Size Chart for recommendations and instructions on how to measure your dog for an appropriate fit.

We really like this jacket! Since it goes on just like her harness, we had very little trouble getting it on our dog right from day one. The only detail I don’t love is how deeply the clips are tucked in and under the fabric on the sides. They can be a little tricky to get at with cold, stiff hands/fingers, but at the “slightly annoying” level; nowhere near the “dealbreaker” level. Would definitely recommend, especially for a dog new to jackets if they are used to putting on an over-the-head harness already.

I bought these for my boys for Christmas and it's FINALLY snowing now in January! We just tested them out for the first time and are very happy with this purchase. Glad I got it too because my younger one (in blue) just had stitches on his side a few days ago so this is perfect for keeping the shaved area and healing wound covered and dry when we go outside. The jacket is easy to put on and take off, stays in place really well once you have it adjusted, and keeps them warm and dry. I could literally feel the warmth it retained from their body heat when I took it off. They look adorable and they seem to enjoy wearing it too! For size reference I got large for both dogs who are each around 75 pounds

I love the jacket, and so does my dog. My only complaint is that it does tend to ride up towards his neck and the back panel that covers his lower back does tend to lay “off” his back- which makes me wonder how warm it t really is. Also because it does ride up on my pup, the harness piece between his legs will gap. I have tried exchanging sizes and adjusting the straps to as tight or loose as they can go but doesn’t seem to fix the issue, and when too loose the back flap will rotate to the side. Because of the mis fit in the back, I am not sure how truly insulating it is.Other than that! Love the material and the color. Reading other reviews perhaps buckle set up has changed. I bought ours from a pet store rather than on line so maybe, hopefully, buckle set up has changed. In order for buckle/clasp to hold coat close to dog’s body it has to be threaded thru a fabric loop and held in place while attaching bottom clasp. This could so easily be changed in several ways. One of which would be to make the top buckle strap longer. If the purpose is to offer the option of having the coat held closer to the dog’s body….or not…….why would anyone buy a coat for their dog and not want it held close to the body? I have never written a review before, but this is so annoying on the three or four times a day that I put it on my old dog that I had to say something
With cold western South Dakota winters and an aging (but shockingly active) Great Dane, we were in need of something to keep him warm. At 10 years and 2 months this guy loves to get outside and explore. The Quinzee Dog Jacket (size XL) is his new favorite thing. I'm serious, he NAPS in this jacket he loves it so much. When he comes in from having it on for a walk or a back yard romp, the inside of the jacket feels like a little furnace reflecting heat back on him. He's got a HUGE chest, so it doesn't cover his side, but does enough to keep his core warm and us outside having fun to tire him out.
Our boy, Dashie, is a mn Am. Pit Bull Terrier with short hair and sensitive skin. The Quinzee is the first tolerable coat he's ever worn. Other clothing we've tried, (many European and American companies,) catch on his fur and push it the wrong way into his skin causing Dashie to rub all over anything he can find to get out of it. Fleece, cotton, hemp, wool etc. all do this. The Quinzee does not! The smooth interior is soft slick and really great and the insulation is just right. He's been calm and toasty warm as fall kicks in and wears his Quinzee almost 24/7. He loves it and so... we love it. Thanks Ruffwear!
Leaves the rear of Lily's back uncovered, the back edge of the jacket is 7" from the base of her tail, plus the rear part of the jacket doesn't lie snug against her fur. Doesn't seem to be a sizing issue: (1) fits properly around her chest and (2) our other 3 Ruffwear jackets in the same size (medium) fit her properly. Given that it is quilted I expected something suitable for colder temps. Have relegated it for use in 25-35F temps for Lily (she's 14YO), for colder temps for my younger more energetic dog who generates more heat to warm herself, and got Lily a Furness in medium for real winter temps <25F. The Furness covers Lily well.
My dog loves her jacket. It is a nice “medium” weight garment that is water resistant and provides good protection from moderate cold weather. Quality of manufacturing and material selection are A+. My two suggestions: 1. It would be helpful if the snap connectors were a little larger and easier to access. I’m 72 and my fingers are not as nimble as before, so closing/opening the snaps is a bit of a challenge. 2. The lower yoke is a bit large for my dog, even when I adjust the side straps it hangs down below her body and sometimes makes contact with the grass. The girth and length fit quite well, it’s just the lower portion of the yoke that seems loose. Otherwise we both are completely happy with this purchase.
Love the jacket. Although according to my measurements I thought it would be the right size but it’s too big by a couple of inches. I was going to exchange for a smaller size but communication was so inconvenient as well as not being able to print a label I decided to just ask for a refund. I was told to show the label at the post office but while waiting in line for my turn the label wouldn’t download. Server quit. I tried to call to get another label right away but the inconvenience of having to make an appointment for a callback made it impossible. So, liking the jacket isn’t enough incentive to risk a possibility of a repeat of this experience should the next one also not fit.
Love the quality and thoughtful design! The insulation is thick enough to keep your dogs warm. I can now feel confident tent camping with an adjustable jacket for a better fit while tent camping with my dogs. This is like a “blanket” that will stay on when is adjusting to a better position.Love how the jacket easily folds into itself for portability for the space-conscious.Love how there is an opening in the back. I can leash Foxy (the smaller dog) with her harness on. She has her harness on in the pics. She usually is hard to fit due to being a mixed breed. However, the Quinzee jacket’s straps accommodate her barrel chest and long torso.
