Not only does my dog look so incredibly handsome with his new harness, it does exactly as it’s supposed to, with multiple points of adjustment you have a perfect fit for your dog. It’s virtually impossible for him to escape. We walk a lot and the reflection when it’s starting to get dark is AWESOME. My dog is a major “puller” and this harness eliminates the major stress on his body that they back and side clip harnesses create. I originally ordered a medium because he was right on the edge for size, however it barely buckled. It was super easy to exchange for a large (which is much better - I can tighten it to his unique fit ) They gave me an instant credit while the harness was being sent back- I could have waited for refund- but I decided to order not only the proper fit but a front range harness for my other dog, & matching collars and leashes for both! I’m waiting on my other dogs harness but I’m sure it won’t disappoint! We are working on the 46 high peaks of the ADKS and this harness is a game changer! Now if they only had a ten foot lead for our hikes to give them more freedom then the 5ft ones, we would be all set!

I love this harness. I haven't used it for the reason I bought it yet, (to be used on my dog while paddle boarding), but I have discovered it's amazing ability to thwart my dog's whale like antics to throw herself backward, going limp, and melt right out of the harness like a cooked noodle when she doesn't want to go or leave somewhere. My dog is a 55lb Golden Retriever / Border Collie, she's a big heavy noodle.I used to own the Rabitgo dog harness which was nice for her to wear while we biked, however within 3mo she learned how to pinch her shoulders together and melt out of the harness. She would also (mostly at the dog park) go stiff leg when we would leave and then rear up and throw herself backward ( like a whale jumping out of the ocean )so she was sprawled ... MoreI love this harness. Your only option was to literally drag her from the park. She is 4yrs old now and is an amazing whale flopper.. she can slip out of anything... until now. I can literally just hold her in the air by my side while she tries to wiggle and squirm out of the harness to no avail with this RuffWear harness. For that reason alone this harness is worth every penny to me, whether or not it works in the water. As far as fitting goes, I bought the large. Her neck is 19inches. Behind the front legs 31inches. In front of the back legs 25 inches. From base of neck to the start of the tail is 27 inches in length. It seems to fit her well. The components are well built the D ring is sturdy the buckles are heavy duty and it's well stitched. I think the only thing that could make this harness better would be having another D ring in the front. I know they have other harnesses with this feature, but multiple attachments is just handy when it comes to dogs.Overall, I would recommend this harness and I won't be going back to my previous harness.

He weighs 19 lbs and I purchased the small size (extra small would not have worked). I watched and re-watched the videos showing how to adjust the harness, however they were confusing and I finally tried to figure it out myself. Other than that issue, the harness itself has worked well.

Excellent Harness Love the orange color
13 November 2022

I love this Harness. It fits my dogs well. I have two Dutch Shepherds, 45 and 53lbs. They both wear size small. They can wear their harnesses all day with no rubbing and they appear comfortable. I love that the harnesses have a handle for the moment when I want to hold my dog and collar use isn't appropriate, like quickly lifting them over something or stabilizing myself for a second when hiking. The bright orange color is wonderful. It allows me and others to spot the dogs quickly and easily. The dogs are so well camouflaged naturally with their brindle coloring, the bright orange harnesses are a great safety feature, not only so I can quickly glance and see where they are, but also so other people can also. I don't clip my leash to the harness often (i use collars for normal leash attachment) except occasionally to allow the dogs to pull me up a hill but the d- ring attachments seem to be in good locations on the harness and the harness has appropriate reinforcement and padding where needed.

Great harness for Houdini dogs!
4 January 2023

This harness has been great for keeping our pup safe from her own nefariousness. She figured out how to slip her front range harness and soon began slipping it or trying to slip it (so we'd have to be ultra vigilant) as often as she wanted to go off on her own adventure. We're in an urban area so that's of course not safe. This harness is comfortable for her, relatively easy to put on (you do have to pull the right leg through after slipping it over their head, but it's flexible), and I like that there are only 2 buckles to fasten instead of potentially 4. She absolutely cannot slip it and this is especially important when I'm walking my dogs together, in case I have to focus on my other dog/pick up poop/etc., I don't have to worry about her trying to slip her ... MoreThis harness has been great for keeping our pup safe from her own nefariousness. I'd give this 5 stars if this harness had 2 other details that were thought of:1: The attachment for the light is right behind the leash attachment which means the leash gets snagged on the light quite often. Not a deal breaker but not thought through. If the light attachment were closer to the dog's neck it'd be better.2: I'd have loved to see a pocket for ID tags like the Front Range harness has - my dogs' tags get stuck on plants all the time and I prefer not to have them on their collars. This doesn't have that little pocket so if we're at the dog park I have to make sure to carry her tags, while my dog who wears the Front Range just has his in the velcro pocket

Perfect -- secure and durable
13 September 2022

This harness is perfect for our furry escape artist! We've been using this harness for years (this is our third one) and she has never gotten out of it. It is adjustable to get a comfortable fit. The handle is wonderful when you need to make sure you have solid control, such as when small children want to greet the doggo nose to nose. Even though this is our third harness purchase, I want to clarify that the previous harnesses did not wear out and they are still structurally sound. We walk a lot and they faded due to sun and water exposure after a few years. And one of them took a beating from my cleaning attempts after an unfortunate encounter with a skunk. We are so thankful for this harness -- it is perfect for us!

Thumbs up for the sturdy, well-designed Web Master harness! It was easy to fit properly and our chosen color of day-glo orange looks great on my dog’s black and white coat. The pleasing contrast of the grey straps influenced our color choice. On a long bike ride yesterday, which happened to follow a 4 mile trail ride just the previous day, my 12-year-old border collie began to limp a bit. I checked first for harness rubbing but found none, then checked his paws too, but knew the limp was most likely due to a flare up of arthritis. I’d forgotten to bring along a leash, but by looping some baling twine I’d found along the road through the aluminum ring on the back of the harness—and thanks to its padded straps that don’t dig into his lipomas—I was able to comfortably support my dog’s weight a bit as we walked back home. Happily, half a Rimadyl and some rest had him feeling better in short order. I was sure glad however, to have coincidentally dressed him in his new, supportive Web Master harness. Concerning heat—I feel the bright orange color and light, insulative padding of this harness may provide some protection for my black dog from our high-altitude sun’s rays. There are also thoughtfully designed channels on the padded underside of the harness to provide air circulation and help with longitudinal flexibility so the harness will more readily mold around the dog’s body (it is a bit stiff at first, so am storing it with a rubber band around it till it’s broken in). I don’t plan to use this harness in hot weather however, and will opt instead for an older, lighter-weight, orange Ruffwear vest when our concern is visibility, or use a lighter-weight harness for leashed walks in town. When it’s cool out though, you can bet we’ll be sporting the Web Master look wherever it makes sense.

Urban traveling necessity

First off I’m a huge RuffWear fan. I used this harness for 14 years with my 60 lb border collie and it still looks new. I bought the easy on harness for our adopted pocket pittie, which is our daily walker. However we needed the harness to lift her in and out of the plane, and in and out of taxis and cars on a recent trip and my older harness is too large. It worked great. This is my go-to brand for harnesses and backpacks and have a number of other products that are all great. Highly recommend. For sizing, Betty is 40 pounds, 19 inches tall, 23 inch girth with some possible growing ahead. She wears a small and has 3.5 inches to expand in each strap if needed
