As a longtime user of Dymatize ISO 100 I was looking for a comparably good product that was a whey blend. I use the isolate before and after weight training and the whey blend at other times. Taste and mixability are two of the most important things for me since if it tastes bad and/or is a pain to mix it makes it hard to keep taking the product. And then I found Rule 1. What a great whey protein. The chocolate fudge is very flavorful (ON is horrible, sorry) and mixes easily in water using a blender bottle without whisk ball. Nice consistency, great taste and easy to mix is a winner. Also bought the caramel and will be trying it shortly. Looking forward to it.

I have been buying R1 protein (rule 1 and this blend) for years and usually love all the flavors but the chocolate malt doesn’t taste much like malt and has a weird chemical flavour instead. I’ve added cocoa to it to mask the chemical flavour as it’s expensive protein to simply put it in the bin. I regret buying the 5lb but I’ve never had an issue with this brand in the past.The vanilla icecream flavour is great as usual.

I enjoy R1 Whey Blend because the taste is so smooth, full of flavor and helps me recover energy after my workouts. Adding strawberries, blueberries and/or banana in any of those combinations adds even more flavor. I recommend R1 Whey Blend to anyone who enjoys a shake or a smoothie. I first tried R1 when I got a sample with another order and it was in a flavour I would never order (Mint Choc) but omg it was sooo good! I was shocked. Eventually I went back and tried Choc PB, Cookies and Cream and now Vanilla Ice Cream - they are all so good. My favourites would be Choc PB - not much of a PB flavour but tastes like Chocolate Cake Batter, then Vanilla Ice Cream is perfect for adding to oats. I have never been able to make nice protein oats bc they always taste gross and have that protein flavour but with R1 they have turned out great! I am hooked and can't wait to try more flavours
Bought this protein on a BOGO deal, heard great things about this as well as read the reviews. I liked the very few ingredients and low carbs so I said why not give it a try. Strawberries n cream as well as chocolate peanut butter are on point! I mixed it with water the first time, not too bad, but after mixing with lactaid milk it made the protein shakes taste so much more rich and brought out the flavors better. Also more filling with milk instead of water. Would definitely recommend this protein especially to those lactose intolerant. It didn’t upset my stomach say the least and would love to try fudge next!
R1 protein is a new staple for me. The flavors are delicious, and blend so well! I stack mine post-workout, but I’ve also mixed it in my coffee pre-workout. It’s very versatile! The service was fantastic during the whole process! 10/10 recommend!
Started using Rule 1 as an alternative to Dymatize and am very pleased. Excellent value, easy mixing, nice texture and flavor. Salted Caramel is delicious. A new staple in my protein arsenal.
My trainer put me onto this and I was a bit dubious - but when you first open the container - the delicious smell of caramel greets you - now I'm not a fan of something milky and heavy after a workout so I only mix this with really cold water, stir, let it sit a couple of minutes and then stir again and it is delicious. Super creamy and SUPER filling - this keeps me full until well after lunch time. Love this product
The powder tastes great, although the cinnamon is a little overwhelming. The powder mixes great in pretty much everything, especially yogurt! This is hands down the best protein I’ve ever had and the price is super reasonable compared to competing brands.
I tried the Cafe Latte flavour, and my goodness, I was unaware I was getting the low calorie version of a frape'. Very impressed, no weird after taste, no milky texture in the mouth, and definitely not too sweet.I loved it, and I feel great after having it. 5 out of 5 shakers for me ;-)
