Review of Rupert Neve Designs 517 - Portico 500 series Mic Pre DI
19 July 2020Reviewed by Andertons Music Co. customer

Gain: amazing to be able to control input gain using the whole knob and not just the last 10% of it's travel...If you are someone who is discerning when it comes to audio, this front end device also adds a subtley desirable tone to your sound , and I use it particualraly for acoustic guitar. It also works exceedingly well with Mic's from the 70's era, my RE20 for example and my old 451.

Specification

Maximum Output+23 dBu, 20 Hz to 40 kHz
Gain RangeMicrophone- 66 dB in 6 dB steps Instrument- 30 dB
