Unfortunately I've had trouble with my Quiet kettle after only days of use. The problem is how easily the mesh filter is knocked out of position [before falling into the kettle] combined with how correspondingly infuriatingly difficult it is to re-insert. The diameter of kettle opening combined with bent over lip restrict hand movements and it's a very fiddly attempt to stick the filter back into position. Being unable to do so I drove to the retailer where customer service staff were super helpful, albeit no-one washed their hands despite coming straight out of the coins drawer at checkout but after multiple attempts the filter was snapped back into its housing. [I do appreciate the very well meaning, awesome retail staff; I just have too much training in infectious disease and awareness of bacteria]I tried taking photos to show the degree to which the filter tab sticks and juts out across the kettle opening making it easy to dislodge and difficult and time consuming to replace but the review format wouldn't load the photos and I lost the review when it all returned automatically to the home page beginning

We purchased this kettle over two years ago and it has worked faultlessly since. The reheat mode is particularly useful although it does take a couple of clicks to turn the kettle off, rather than leave it in standby. We purchased another kettle recently for our daughter and she, like us, is very pleased with its features and performance. Some reviewers have expressed concern with rusting but ours is as good as the day we bought it. Kettles get used so much during the day and relaibility is important.

This kettle is perfectly fine for what the price of it is. It seems a bit cheaper construction than a more expensive one I bought for someone else recently, but hooks water fine. It isnt as quiet as you might expect a quiet kettle to be, but is probably a little quieter than the other kettle I recently bought and isnt the reason I bought this one anyway. I like the one touch opening function of this kettle. The only thing I have noticed, is that it doesnt hold the heat for long after it has boiled. Not a huge issue, just a hit annoying to have to reboil in a short space of time
