This blender has been such a letdown! It arrived with a cracked lid which despite being under warranty has been IMPOSSIBLE to get sorted! Russel Hobbs tell me it's Very's responsibility and Very tell me it's Russel Hobs' responsibility! Please can I just have a new lid :(Overall I have been pretty disappointed. The shredding function blade is ok but I'm just so let down by the general processor that it is hard to feel anything but annoyed at this blender.I thought I was paying for a premium product but I have been really let down by this food processor.

Bought this food processor recently and was so impressed with the shredder and grater for coulslaw, amazing. Then I went to use the rest of the attachments and have found this a frustrating experience, tried the mixing attachment and had butter stuck in the bowl, then flour went everywhere. Next I wanted to chop up veggies for soup but the chopping blade just kept rising up and nothing was chopped? Please explain what I am doing wrong as I have checked the manual it it just says to drop the chopping blades over the shaft there doesn’t appear to be any way of locking blade to shaft.

I had the old model for a several years and used it regularly until it died. Decided to stick with the brand and really like the refinements in this version. It’s now much easier to clean the individual parts properly and the new way the base attaches is much more leak-proof. I don’t use any of the extra attachments and only need it to roughly chop veggie scraps. This does everything I need it to for a very reasonable price.

This blender has been such a letdown! It arrived with a cracked lid which despite being under warranty has been IMPOSSIBLE to get sorted! Russel Hobbs tell me it's Very's responsibility and Very tell me it's Russel Hobs' responsibility! Please can I just have a new lid :(Overall I have been pretty disappointed. I am very impressed my new food processor. It has a very simple operation - I was even able to use it without reading the manual! It chopped the vegetables to a very fine texture which worked really well in cooking pasta sauces and veg frittatas.It also had a handy flip of the blade to give me the slicing side which was convenient (one less blade to worry about)!I used the blender to make some blended juice which worked well.I was indeed impressed with the appliance and I have it all plugged and ready on my kitchen bench to use almost every day (so glad it gives me a break from the knife and board).I think it is definitely a great value for money, I highly recommend this product!!
Arrived well before due date in sturdy packaging and without excess recycling trash. It's a sturdy little machine that stays securely in place by solid rubber feet. It does EVERYTHING expected of a processor and the motor is strong enough to chip ice cubes into tiny pieces. It has two speeds, high and low, plus pulse. This is a strong burst of power and the contents hit the lid, so make sure that it's on securely! It's loud(ish) but no louder than a liquidiser thst l have. Take care when locking both the bowl and jug into place, don't attempt to bang it down or yank it into place - be patient and it will lock in easily. Small footprint and fits under kitchen wall-mounted cupboards with the blender jug attached. Hey all,I purchased this model after using Swinger full food processor for sometime in India. This has been working great so far. Does blending well. Just one question to customer support team if we have grinder option to add to this product. I want to buy but not sure if Russell hobs have spares or I can buy some third party jar which fit to it. I have only used it once so far to chop up tangerines for marmalade. It performed the task well. The only thing I don't like is the drive shaft sits on the machine and you have to put the bowl/jug on over it. It's quite annoying if you need to use several times for chopping large quantities, as it falls off each time.
I am a Russell Hobbs fan . I have been buying the kettles since they first brought them to NZ. Recently my Fabulous Kenwood Food Processor started to misbehave after years of great service, so I decided to replace it. When I saw the Russell Hobbs it was a no brainer. BIG MISTAKE it is NOT fit for purpose. It wouldn't even chop up pieces of a banana in a milkshake, let alone blend butter and flour (in fact, it threw the flour everywhere), or chop citrus fruit for marmalade. VERY disappointed. Its far too light, so it jiggles around the bench unless it is firmly held, and there are too many bits to put together. NOT AT ALL HAPPY, will re think R.H. in future, sadly.
I had been using this daily for the last three weeks or so to make green smoothies (kale, spinach, silverbeet, mango banana, flax seeds). It was doing a great job until this morning when halfway through blending, it just stopped. (Smells like an electrical issue).Having bought it about 2 years ago, I don't have any way to take it back to Woolworths to get a refund.....
I love this food processor, it makes my life so much easier. It doesn't take up much space on my worktop and it saves me lots of time chopping and cleaning. I would give the food processor itself five stars, but I'm giving it three as Russell Hobbs don't let you buy replacement parts for it.I damaged the bowl and contacted customer services to buy a new one and they advised they're no longer in stock as they have been discontinued. I'm not sure why they would be discontinued while they're still selling the bowl as part of the food processor set, but I imagine it's so you have to buy an entire new set and pay £65.00 for it.Highly recommended product as long as you're sure you won't need any spare parts.
