The brushed finish on the sides means it stays looking clean rather than covered with fingerprints.It appears to be quite solid, and well constructed, if a little bulky for a two slice toaster.It didn’t appear to like my low carb/high protein bread which can take a little while to grown, and needed the darkest setting in order to get some colour. I’ve also been spoilt recently by a toaster that has individual settings for different types of bread. This one feels very basic in comparison.I liked the digital progress display. It’s simple, effective and well designed.In all a good basic toaster

Firstly I loved the size of the slots as this allowed for thicker slices of bread and I feel a more even heat distribution. I also liked the light timer countdown giving you an indication of how much longer was left. The reheat function was excellent, as it did exactly that. Reheated without toasting much more which I have found other toasters I have owned have done that. All in all, this toaster met expectations and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new toaster.

When first delivered I was blown away by how lightweight this toaster is, but for a 2 piece it is somewhat bulky and takes up quite a bit of bench space. It does a good job and is easy to use. Aesthetically pleasing- I particularly like the darker matte finish on the side where the buttons are. The lights that show you how much longer there is to go are fun and helpful. The one big downside for me is the shiny titanium finish on the outer edge seem to be a magnet for fingerprints, and in a household with small children it's been a little difficult to keep it looking clean.

I have a 4 slice toaster that is slightly longer but much slimmer. If you are tight on space or a smaller kitchen, this toaster is not particularly space friendly.I was impressed by the light up dial in the middle. The options of normal or frozen bread were a nice touch, but upon using, it didn’t really seem to make much difference to the toasting function. What I really didn’t like was the setting button. To look in the little circle to see what number I had turned the dial to is not user friendly. The Russell Hobbs Distinctions toaster is so very clever! We have used it for a variety of breads, and crumpets, and have had perfect toasting everytime.We found the 3 setting worked perfectly for all of our needs.We also love the functionality and modern design of this toaster.It comes with a big tick of approval from the 2.5 year old who can watch herself in it and look at the flashing light while waiting for her breakfast!
I recieved this toaster from home tester and Russell Hobbs in exchange for my honest review. I loved the light up Led that let's you know how far away the toast is from being done. You can easily adjust your dial to get the desired brownness. Reheat and defrost your bread. Cancel your toast and have a look at how it's going. I lever is nice and big and flat to turn toaster on and slots are very wide. I would buy this and I love that it matches the kettle... makes for a sophisticated kitchen.
This toaster was ok. It takes a while to work out the time to evenly toast. I found I had to put the toast down a few times to get the desired toasting. Then I would end up burning the toast. I also noticed that one side of the bread doesn’t toast as much as the other side. I like the idea of the timer light on the knob so you know how long the toast has left. I also like the warming feature but I didn’t really use that function much. I prefer a 4 slice toaster as I have a family of 4 and at times I will need to toast a few slices at one time. So the two slice toaster is not really convenient for me. The toaster did come with a matching kettle so it does make a nice pair and they both sit nicely displayed on my bench.
This toaster is on the larger size for a small appliance but it fitted perfect only kitchen bench. Used daily I love the stylish design, function and features of this toaster. Russell Hobbs always provide you with fashionable appliances. It worked perfectly. The 2 slice toaster had the longer slots perfect for bread to fit. The browning dial was terrific as each person in our home like their bread toasted to a different shade. No more arguments. Thrown my old toaster out in the recycling.
