Boils quickly and the measures which are inside, are helpful to determine the minimum amount of water that can be boiled rapidly.However making the transition from a kettle that has a flip top lid, where you can operate/open with one hand, this new kettle has an extremely tight fitting lid, which requires two hands to open, i.e. hand hand to hold the body/body of the kettle and another to remove the lid, which is extremely tight.

We choose it because it was nice and it is. It works well, the temperature needle is somewhat useful.But the cover must be taken out completely to fill up and clean it. It's hard to pull it out and place it back, you need two hands and it can slip easily while doing so. You might also touch by accident the metalic part at the top that is burning after use.Finally just before it switch off when water reach 100°C, the boiler draw an overcurrent spike on the network and in our brand new appartement when the washing machine run in parallel, it trigger the circuit breaker at the electrical panel, each time. When switch off manual it doesn't. Very fast, doesn't get dirty so easily and it's very pretty. It makes some noise and could have the option to set the temperature we want but besides that, all perfect.
Good looking retro Kettle, works like a charm, solid construction and workmanship.
Great kettle, a cool design and it seems to work well so far!
