I use this microwave at least once a day to sterilise my sons bottles. I put my steriliser in the microwave and there was an odd smell, worried I thought it was my sons sippy cup and the disc that rotates the plate actually melted off! So now I'm without a microwave. Luckily the very customer advisor was very helpful and they've put through for a refund. I don't recommend this microwave!

Bought this a few weeks ago and it does the job. The downside is the interior light. It is very poor. When food is warming it’s impossible to check it without opening the door. Previous microwaves I have had I have been able to see through the glass but not possible with this one. I thought at first light was not working but it is just really dim. Not impressed with this for this reason. As I say. It does what it says but I would not recommend for this reason.

This is a great compact microwave. Looks good and is exactly what we need. Easy to use without too many settings and buttons. I like that there’s no pointless digital display to waste electricity when not using. The only annoying thing about it is that they’ve decided to stick a really sticky, hard to remove white sticker with red writing about using the time dials right on the front.i removed it but now there’s residue that’s difficult to remove. Why not just include that instruction in the manual? Pointless. Delivery took much longer too than the 3-5 days, but that’s on Yodel not Very. All in all good value for money and looks great

I wanted to buy a very simple microwave with just time and temperature dials rather than anything digital and sophisticated. This microwave looks good and works well. However, there is a design flaw with the time dial. Minutes 1-10 on the dial are very small and scrunched up so that it is very hard to read them and, more important, accurately set the time for something which requires a short cooking period (I mainly use the microwave for reheating and defrosting). In contrast minutes 10-30 on the dial are well spaced out and take up about 75% of its circumference. My previous microwave - also purchased from Dyas but not Russell Hobbs - had the layout the other way round and this made much more sense. I had hoped that my local Robert Dyas would have a decent microwave display so that I could have a proper look at some options before buying - but unlike in previous years there was just one product on display.So if you want a simple microwave with easy to read dials, and don't want to be squinting all the time at the numbers in an effort to set accurate cooking/regeating times, then look for other options.
Good Points: It has knobs, which is why I chose it.(I hate complicated digital controls!)Improvement Points: My favourite microwave had the turntable on a post, making it easy to lift off for cleaning and easy to put pack.The “modern” ones all seem to have those horrible little three sided things with grooves in which make re-positioning difficult. Further compounded by the nasty wheeled plastic circles that get in the way!
Good Points: A simple microwave for small family, singles or elderly. Looks good and serves its purpose well. Excellent for microwave meals.700W power means things take about 30 secs longer than 800W but ease of use outweighs this.Improvement Points: The numbers on the timer are quite small so good eyesight is required or reading glasses.No light inside oven.
Good Points: The problem with most microwaves is they are too high. Unless you are cooking whole chickens, in which case you should be using an oven!. this one is perfect for fitting under shelving /cupoardsImprovement Points: The front has a sticky label about "under 2 minute timing". i used acetate to remove it. the front of the microwave is plastic. flippin' awful mark left as acetate eats plastic! this should be part of the stick label warning DO NOT USE ASCETATE TO REMOVE THIS LABEL.
