It is good and it is cheap. All of that fast flow and other BS is just that, BS, the oil filters are design to do their job and fast flow means less filtering therefore more long term problems. Same with air filters, guess why you get more power from fast flow air filters? Because the air is less filtered to circulate faster and your engine will last less km of use but the process is so slow that you won't blame the filters tginking that the problem is something else. Change filters and oil regularly and forget about big bills fixing bigger problems.

I have always used Ryco, but the price is becoming an issue, OEM filters are cheaper these days so this could be my last given these are made in China they should be $5 each like other brands

Have been using these for years and they work well. My 1994 Mazda 121 has done almost 400,000 km using Ryco oil filters with regular 10,000 km oil changes.
Its a filter that fits. All filters are basically the same but different in colour. This is ridiculous waste of time reviewing an inert object. The world has lost the plot and I am being dragged in screaming!
I use this oil filter for my mx5. Never done any tests on the oil or cut it up to compare against other brands of filter but my engine hasn't died yet.
I don't personally use any brand of filter until I've cut one open to see what the quality is like. TL;DR: The Z436 is quite pricey (like all Ryco filters) but the quality and design are very good. The Z436 has a beefy flat-surface rubber seal crimped into place, however it may still slip out if it sticks to the mating surface. The end plate has eight holes for oil inflow and a very flexible anti-drain back rubber valve with plenty of sealing surface area. Good end plate thickness and shell thickness. It uses a 22mm diameter coil spring to prevent unseating. The filter media has around 60 very thick pleats, it's quite coarse but I'm happy with it. Glue for the pleats wasn't perfectly uniform on mine but it's sealed adequately. The internal guard has lots of stamped ... MoreI don't personally use any brand of filter until I've cut one open to see what the quality is like. Glue for the pleats wasn't perfectly uniform on mine but it's sealed adequately. The internal guard has lots of stamped holes to improve oil flow. Almost no plastic at all on the inside. No corrosion on the internals and the metal surfaces were flawless, except inside the main shell which had some white paint overspray from when they painted the exterior.Overall I can highly recommend it. It's a safe option. The quality isn't lacking at all, the filter media has good thickness, the flow resistance is very low and the anti-drain back valve is guaranteed to seal effectively. These Ryco spin-on filters can easily last 10,000km, which for me is every two oil change intervals. I used to change them every interval but it's a bit too costly and I found the used filters still had plenty of life left in them.
It's an oil filter - it filters oil. The outer is made of thin metal painted white and inside is a paper filter element. It won't make you car go faster
Filter is good it worksSCA Had some fancy scanner to find the filter for my car.The scanner did not work.SCA Should us the KISS system.Keep it simple stupid
My car is a 2000 Subaru Forester. This filter should be described as "Automatic Transmission Filter"The appropriate "engine oil filter" is the Sakura C-1816 which does fit as it is equivalent to the Z495 and WZ495 filters. Your website claims that the C-1816 filter doesn't fit my vehicle.
