Ryco seem to put real care and effort in delivering a very high quality filter for the price. My Hyundai Getz has ticked over to 165000km and I change the oil every 5000km now, to ensure the engine getz properly taken care of. I always put in a fresh new Ryco filter every time. It has a real backflow valve, and has a plastic cover over the O ring in the box, to ensure not even the tiniest speck of dust gets in before the filter is installed. 10/10 would use every time.

I've always used RYCO filters, and have no problems keeping my cars oil clean. Now they have introduced the advanced technology filter (black grit coat) and extended the filter life to 15,000 kms between filters.I travel 1,000 kms a week in my hyundia i30, and she runs sweet. Doing oil change and filter this long weekend, Penrite oil and RYCO filter, always!
Ive been using Ryco oil filters since my 92 Civic Si was in diapers (i.e.: Oil filters). Nothing catches them little nasties like the good 'ol Ryco huile filters. Lube 'em up, stick em in, hand tighten until touches base, then give her the 'ol 1/4 turn. Never failed me in over fiteen years. I actually look forward to oil changes just so I can unbox a Ryco filter, remove that plastic covering (oh so satisfying), and lubing up the ring real good (ghlghghrlghhhh like Homer Simpson drooling) .
There is nothing wrong with ryco oil filters, it’s just that the sales assistant insisted that the Z79A filter was the correct one for my vehicle even though I contradicted him & showed him a photograph of the actual Z411 filter that was in the car. Anyhow, I purchased the Z79A filter, went home to do an oil change only to realise that it was indeed the incorrect filter. Had to exchange the filter in the Fyshwick branch at much inconvenience as I was not going back anywhere near the Bega branch where I initially made the purchase.So, the product was good, the information given with regards to vehicle registration number was seriously flawed
Reliable brand at a reasonable price. Just as good as OEM.I have used these filters every time I have done an oil change on the car or motorcycle.Been very happy with Ryco for the last 30 years.
Always seen Ryco as a quality brand, worth the extra couple of bucks over rivals. Z79a also works with quite a few different cars. Never had a problem with Ryco filters
This not a bad review, but the Part Number Z79A listed for a Subaru Impreza Sedan 2.0 Litre is incorrect.The correct filter for this car is Z411 and the two filters aren't even the same size. The Z411 is a lot smaller in diameter.This is not the fault of Supercheap Auto, because even if you go to RycoFilter website and lookup the filter, Ryco also list Z79A as the filter.Just a note for people who have the 2 litre engine in this model Subaru.
Not a bad review, but just to advise that Z79A is not the correct oil filter for a Subaru 2012 Impreza 2.0 litre engine.Z411 is the correct oil filter.Both are different sizes, which the Z79A is a lot bigger than the Z411.The thing is, Repco isn't the only store/supplier that lists Z79A as the filter for his car. It's a bit weird.
