A good value saw. I've only used it a few times. Nice clean cuts on chip board, pine and cedar. Angles are accurate. Best to use in a shady spot so the laser is easily visible.

Bought this to cut skirting boards. Mitred cuts couldn't be done as the skirting boards were higher than the blade depth, so had to bevel cut. I noticed the cuts had a slight curve to the cut and couldn't work out what was causing it. The machine has been calibrated to achieve perfect cuts. Not sure what's causing curved cuts, blade deflection? not sure.. wasted alot of skirting boards doing test cuts. Also greater than 10 degree bevel cuts could only be done on one side. Great saw for general purpose cutting. Laser is helpful but I never relied on it.

Generally works well but I had the mitre table adjustment handle at the front of the saw become loose not long after I purchased. The screw/fixing design was poor making it hard to get access to the screws. Tried to tighten the screws but they would not tighten so handle could not be fixed. Hopefully design can be improved for future models. On the plus side Bunnings replaced under warranty due to the fault.

Good strong machine for simple cutting tasks. The laser is a big positive with assisting the cut. Downside: he clamp gets in the way when trying to cut on 45degree angel. Have tried this clamp in many different positions, but ended up having to do without it, to get the cut I needed. Also, the measuring component is only on one side. Would be handy to have on either side of the blade to allow for cutting from each angel. While a good machine, I should have spent the extra money and bought the next model up with the sliding arm and additional measuring points.
I bought this saw over a year ago, wanting something small, lightweight and easily portable. I replaced the blade with a much finer cheap blade, for fine work. The laser got hit by a small piece of wood on the first cut, and broke off ! No great problem, as it's not really an important part. The supplied 1.5 ah battery is a bit small and not very useful, so I plan to get a bigger battery.Overall, it is a lightweight saw for small jobs, and works adequately for this. It is easily portable, which cannot be said for many of it's competitors. If you want to go up to the next level, get the Metabo miter saw and 4 ah battery, at triple the price. (All the sliding mitre saws are not really portable.)
Cuts were good. Fence was very unstable and lacked any guide holes for adding extra fence or stop blocks. Dust extraction wasn't great either. Laser was handy and accurate but unnecessary. The mitre scale wasn't very accurate either.Spend a little bit more on a better tool.
Cuts well and has ample power. However build quality isn't good. Mine had a fine coating of oil all over it when first unpacked. The laser cutting guide is hopeless - too dim to be of much use, and it doesn't line up with the actual blade cut. Owner's manual is hopeless. Will be returning this item.
Bought this approximately 4 weeks ago. Am yet to get anywhere near a straight cut. Bought this to replace a worn out 12 year old ryobi saw. This is no where near as robust or accurate. Full width trigger is dangerous.
I bought this saw from Bunnings in NZ . Although I didnt expect to much , being a lower priced DIY saw, I was hoping it would atleast cut straight! Havent managed to make even one! Cuts are either curved through the middle or kinks at the bottom.Tried to track the problem. Blade has sideways movement, blade flanges are sloppy, the whole head flexes at the back pivot, the table ( that turns during mitre cuts) is a diffrent height than the rest of the base.To add to this The laser is useless, and the dust bag catches 10% of the dust!
I bought this yesterday and returned it today after 10 minutes of use. No dust went into the provided bag. Attached a Ryobi dust extractor and still had sawdust everywhere. The sawdust doesn't go anywhere near the channel that directs the dust into the bag. Hopeless. Generally poor quality
