Super Handy Air CompressorBought this battery powered air compressor for my husband a few weeks ago and he said this is one of the best tools he has ever had. It’s great for small projects when you only need a few nails or pins to hold something together and you don’t want to get the big air compressor out. He bought a 10-foot hose to go with it so now it is extremely portable. He never thought he would love using this air compressor so much, but he does! This is another great addition to his Ryobi collection

it's fairly light and small. loud but not deafening, good for on the go where you don't have quick access to an outlet. but, the power is very weak as i could only shoot 2/3 framing nails before it needs to regen for 20-30sec. so maybe 5 framing nails per min. the 0.5cfm aint much but would be fine for brad/finish nails or staples. it only goes upto 120psi before stopping and the release is nice with the handle valve going 90degrees instead of a spin to release nut kind of one. feels durable/weighty for its size. i wish it came with a short 5-10ft hose and a shoulder strap

This is a nice little unit for small jobs. It's built well, durable components, and has all the features you'd expect- drain valve, PSI adjustment. Since it's only 1 gallon, you shouldn't expect to be able to run many air tools off the unit. It's really only intended for trim air nailers, cleaning equipment (air gun), and filling tires.

Awesome cordless air compressor

For a real air compressor that doesn’t need to be plugged into a wall outlet, this cordless compressor is worth having. Yes it’s small but does pump up quite quickly. I decided to replace my 25 gal oil less air compressor with this little one. I don’t need a big air compressor for air tools anymore as I have gone cordless. This little thing isn’t extremely noisy your using it steadily the 4ah battery will last over half hr. Many reviews have said it needs a bigger tank and that’s true. However, having a bigger tank actually defeats the purpose of it being so portable to fit and go anywhere with you. Another excellent tire pump is the small one that operates with a trigger and has a digital readout. We use that one for traveling as it very compact. Disappointed overall
13 September 2024

Had high hopes for this compressor. Purchased for use in cleaning computers, keyboards, mice, etc. in an office environment. I have an in-line filter so the output air is clean and dry. The tank pressure is close to 120 PSI and the output pressure is just under 60 PSI. I use a 1/4" hose with the supplied connectors and small blower head accessory.Pros: The pressure used cleans out dust and debris easily and this is a much cheaper solution than canned air these days. The form factor allows the compressor to be placed almost anywhere. The size and weight allow maximum portability when taking the unit to a desk, or outside for cleaning filters, airing up tires, cleaning A/C coils, and more. Dials are easily read and the Output pressure is easy to adjust. The unit is ... MoreHad high hopes for this compressor. Dials are easily read and the Output pressure is easy to adjust. The unit is ready-to-use right out of the box if you have the air hose already set up and batteries charged. I purchased the Ryobi because I own a lot of One+ equipment and I can use any of the batteries between equipment.Cons: For an indoor environment, it is very noisy, even behind closed doors (in a Ryobi container on a bed of closed cell foam, 2'-3' away from the closest wall). While there is no issue with the pressure, the 1-gallon tank is not quite large enough for the task and requires very frequent refills. You'll need ear plugs if you sit close to it to protect your hearing. 2 AH batteries are used up quickly. 4 AH batteries last a decent period of time with moderate use of the blower. However, it lasts less than an hour with moderate or higher usage so have batteries to spare. I keep (2) 4 AH and (1) 2 AH batteries in the cycle and I don't run out of compressed air.I would not recommend this compressor for this particular usage, though it might be fine if using for applications such as brad nailing picture frames and small amounts of trim work.Hope this helps!

Nice little gadget
22 June 2024

This is a nice little compressor, very easy to cart to wherever you need to use it. And being battery powered there’s no having to deal with extension cords. It’s ideal for inflating pool accessories, bike and auto tire. I have a small brad nailer which works very well with the it. I have may other Ryobi 18V tools and so having to provide a battery was no big deal. And note this is a “bare bones” tool. You have to provide the hose and all connectors

Not worth it.
28 January 2024

First off, box says either “tool only” or battery and charger included.NOTHING about a hose or ANY other “tools” that Should come with compressor. VERY misleading.Next, Very, Very slooooow inflating tires! Great for pool inflatables, not so much for actual trailer or vehicles tires. Only holds a gallon of air, that goes Quick, then you have to wait for it to fill back up.Go electric or larger holding tank if you want to actually use it.

Ryobi One 1 gallon 18 volt compressor
19 January 2024

I received this compressor and have been a fan since day one. This compressor has become a useful tool in our house. My wife has been the biggest fan she is now able to add air to her car tires when needed do to its light weight and portability. Along with that it is her go to compressor for blowing out the filters on our vacuum cleaners and household air filters. I am very pleased with this compressor..

Smaller than expected
27 December 2023

The main reason I bought this was to blow myself off after work and maybe a flat tire if needed. I knew it was small, but wasn’t expecting it to take so long to fill up or attempt to fill as used. Keeping it at 30psi and after two quick blow's, it’s trying to fill. Feels like 5 minutes, probably only 2-3 min to fill. Get about 20 minutes run time from a 4amp battery and almost 40 from a 6. Adding a pig tank to it helps, but takes longe to fill (obviously). What was spent on the compressor, new batteries(only had one well used 4amp battery), and a charger, going red would have been better… seeing how I have red batteries already (didn’t like the price but did find it a little cheaper). I’m sure there’s a job this will be good at, just the job I was looking for. Like ... MoreThe main reason I bought this was to blow myself off after work and maybe a flat tire if needed. Works great when you understand it

This little unit is great for quick tire fills and minor air tool work. I've seen a lot of reviews that knock it for not having bigger capacity or being able to do heavy work. You are not going to be able to do anything more than filling tires and maybe some brad nail work. This is for those that need a quick air fill without having to lug around a refillable tank and have to go back to the main compressor to refill it every time. It will take some time to fill tires, but it's perfect if you're without a 12v option to plug in or if you're somewhere remote. It's also decent for brad/pin nailers, though you only get a few shots before it has to refill again, but if you're just doing something like repairing a piece of trim and only need a few shots, this will be ... MoreThis little unit is great for quick tire fills and minor air tool work. I even used mine with a blower nozzle to blow out the carb on a tractor that had become flooded. Don't skimp on batteries either, make sure you have a minimum of a 4amp battery or higher and depending on the job, you might need extras. The whole thing feels very solid and not cheap, which makes it nice when carrying it around, you won't have to worry about broken handles or faulty plastic bits falling off. The included hose hooks allow for up to 25 feet of thin air hose or do like I did and find some short hoses (like 8 feet) at places like harbor freight that are actual air hoses. It does include a female connector on the outlet, this makes it nice so you don't have to buy extras, just hook up your hose and go.Overall, a very nice mini compressor and definitely worth the investment.
